I roll my eyes because that is something I’d do.

Bite me. I don’t give a fuck.

“You got a problem with that?” I answer to him. I can imagine him flinching at my sudden voice. Also makes me realize I sound mad.Very mad.“Next time, just hang up.”

“Wait! You’re mad as fuck. What happened? Are you okay?”

His concern makes me huff, but when I look down at the little Omega, I tame my boiling rage.

I don’t want to wake her…

“Alive and well,” I conclude. “I’m heading off first. If Kai or Kenji ask, say I have business to attend to.”

“O-Okay.” He knows not to argue with me when I make a decision. “I won’t be on the bus until tomorrow afternoon.”

The tour bus…

“Got it. I’ll schedule Mallory when I get to my next destination.” I’m rushing the conversation so I can get moving. The tour bus isn’t far from here. A few minutes’ walk at best, hidden among plentiful buses. We ensured to hide it well because of Nate’s crazy fans. “I’m hanging up.”

“Wait, Icarus,” Nate presses and quickly adds, “You sure you’re okay? Not hurt or anything, right?” I hear the slight anxiety in his voice, making me groan and try to tame my impatience.

He’s just worried about me.

“I’m good, Nate, seriously. You know I can defend myself. Just a few drunk Alphas who wanted to pick a fight because they got kicked out. Nothing else,” I assure him, though I’m staring at my little Omega.

She’s ours… fuck. I can’t believe we may have found her.

It feels like a dream I’m frightened to wake up from.

“Alright. Make sure you rest, and I guess I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Mhmm.” I’m reaching out and lightly trailing my fingers along her cheek, realizing how soft her skin is.So pretty.“Get those NDAs signed.”

I hear him grunt, but he mutters, “Okay.”

I hang up, knowing he isn’t going to do it first. I quickly text Kai and Kenji in the group chat that business has come up and I’m leaving first, before scooping the little Omega.

Lowering my gaze to admire her one last time, I recall her flushed, happy expression in that camera lens to the sleeping woman in my arms.

“Astraea,” I whisper again and take a deep inhale of her scent.

There’s no denying it now.

“You’re ours now, Pretty Onega.”

Enchanting Connection

~ASTRAEA~

“I’m busy. Unless this is a life-or-death situation, you can call back and leave a message like every other cocky fucker.”

The deep rumble voice is close but sounds as if the sound comes from the right one minute and the left the next.

“You’re talking too much and fast for me to understand you, especially when you’re speaking up against my ear. No… I’m not going to put you on speaker. The last time I checked, I’m the talent manager, and you’re desperate to be under my management.”

It takes my mind a few seconds to realize who’s speaking.

That familiar deep voice… wait!
