His eyes narrow, shooting hatred right at me. I smile at him. The all powerful Damien Blackthorne brought down by a woman he views as nothing more than a possession. I hope that eats at him for the rest of his miserable life.
The agents, none of which I recognize go right past us and grab Sin. My mouth falls open. This isn't how this was supposed to go. Marks said once they got the information on Damien they'd come and collect him. Instead they're forcing Sin's arms behind his back and slapping a pair of cuffs on him.
Arthur Whitmore starts shouting at the FBI agents while Sin resists their efforts to move him out of the room.
"Raven!" he shouts. The look of fear on his face guts me. He should be worried about himself and what is happening right now, but instead he's consumed by the fact I'm right next to my father and he's being taken away.
Damien runs his fingers down my arm, and my stomach churns. "This isn't over," he threatens, and disappears into the chaos of the crowd.
Lucien runs out of the backroom where he's been working. His eyes are wild and when they land on Sin he charges forward. Javier manages to intercept him, wrapping his arms around his waist and keeping him from attacking federal agents.
"That won't help him," I read his lips.
Arthur's voice booms over the crowd. "Jackson, don't say a word. I'll have an entire legal team meet you there."
Sin nods, and when he sees Damien no longer next to me he stops fighting and lets them haul him away.
