Page 39 of Perfect Sin

“You’re supposed to be on my side. We’re family.”

“I’m not here for your bullshit. Where the fuck did they take her?”

“Kyle said he needed to talk to her. I don’t see what the big deal is. Sin should be thanking me.”

“Why the fuck would I thank you? Raven could be in danger because of you,” I snap.

“A guy like you must be climbing the walls with a clinger like her. Go have fun with Poppy. I know you have some weird protective big brother thing for Raven, but Poppy’s totally into you. I’ve seen the news, I know you were forced into marrying her. Go be young and have some fun. I know you like to play,” she says and motions for someone to come forward.

Poppy pushes through the spectators watching the confrontation. I somehow missed her following us. “We could go upstairs and have a private party.” She bites her lip. “Tessa told me about you before the party. I’m sure her brother can take care of her. Let me take care of you.”

“Listen you stupid bitch. I’ve already told you I’m married. Which means I’m not interested in easy pussy. The only thing of value you have for me is information. Now tell me, where did they take her?”

Her mouth opens and closes without a sound escaping.

“You’re absolutely useless.” I push past her and move closer to Ford. At least this time she takes the hint and leaves.

Ford grabs a guy by the neck as he walks past. “You’re one of Jesse’s little bitch boys. The girl we came here with, where did he take her?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he spits out.

Rage like I’ve never known before swells up inside of me. I reach behind me and pull my gun from my waist band. “We’re wasting time here.”

I press the gun against his head, and Ford steps back.

“What are you doing? Ford, you can’t let him do this!” Tessa screeches.

“Then start talking,” he says emotionlessly.

I look the guy straight in the eyes so he can see me for who I am. “Don’t think I won’t pull the trigger. I’ll do whatever it takes to get her back. Tell me where she is.”

The guy raises his hand. “Yeah, okay. This is too much shit for me. They took her to the game room in the basement.”

“I knew we shouldn’t have brought her here,” I snap.

“My sister is strong. Don’t count her out yet,” Lucien says.

Putting my gun back. “Where’s the basement stairs?”

The guy points toward the back door. “I’m out of here,” he mutters.

“If she’s hurt. If they fucking touch her at all, you better leave town,” I say to Tessa.

“Ford–” she reaches for him.

“Not now, Tessa.”

The four of us move in the direction Jesse’s friend pointed out. There’s a group of guys hanging out around the door. When they see us, they move to stand in the way.

“No one is allowed down there,” one of them says.

“They tell you to keep us out?” I ask.

“Jesse has business to take care of. Go enjoy the party or leave,” another speaks up.

“There’s six of us and four of you. Just get a drink or something,” the first one demands.

Lucien and I strike fast. He prefers a bloodier approach and punches the mouthy asshole in the nose. The impact makes a cracking sound when his nose breaks, and the pussy drops when it starts gushing blood.
