“For real?”

Mac shrugs as if it wasn’t a big deal. “Yeah, if you want a tattoo just come to Totally Ink.”

“I tried to book there months ago, but you guys were full.” Luke sighs resignedly.

“Whenever you want, just come there, I'll take you in without booking. We are fully booked until next year.”

“Wow, that's amazing, I never imagined tattoos business works so much.”

“When you are the best artist in the State, anyone wants you.” I proudly admit. It’s true and his works are masterpieces. I drink my last gulp of beer while eyeing Blake following Ashley in the house. “Be right back.” I stop near the door while hearing their banter.

“Blake, stop it.” I freeze hearing Ashley’s voice.

“With him? For real? What the fuck Ash?”

“The hell you want from me, I couldn’t find a better man.”

He snorts and I clench my fists.

“Look Blake, let me be clear because maybe your poor neuron didn’t get the memo.”

“I just want to be sure you're not regretting it.”

“Regret what?”

“Come on, Ash. He’ll break your heart.”No, I’ll break your legs. What’s he up to?

“My private life is none of your business, Blake.”

“Ash, please stop.” He grabs her wrist.

My blood boils as she tries to back off. “You're hurting me.”

“Hey!” I boom, making Ashley startle. “Get your hands off her.” I march toward them, and the fucker raises his hands up.

“Chill dude, we were just talking.”

“Your hands on my woman is not something I can stand, dude.”

“Whatever,” he walks backward while leaving us alone.

“Are you okay, babe?”

“Yeah,” she hugs me.

Lifting her wrist, I kiss it. “Could I know what happened between you two?”

She takes a deep breath in, and I can tell something bothers her. “I wasn’t enough for his...him.”

“For his?”

She shakes her head. “It doesn’t matter, Rock. I have my piece of heaven and he’s no one.”

I grit my teeth. “Why is he here?”

“He's Amanda's new boyfriend. I couldn't say no to her.”

Not gonna lie, that answer doesn’t convince me at all, but I don’t want to push her and definitely not today. “As long as he stays away from you, that's fine for me.”
