“I'm Ashley, actually.” She points out making me chuckle.
“Well, Ashley, take care of our big boy.” She winks at her before leaving us alone. I pull her to me, kissing the top of her head before walking toward the parking lot. When we stop next to her red Cherokee I almost laugh. It suits her perfectly.
She pivots, eyes glued to mine. “Thank you for not making me quit the party, I had so much fun.”
“It's your day, Princess. No one should have such an influence on you.”
She nods. “I know, it's just him I can't stand. However, I think he got your memo, thanks for that. You don't have to pretend anymore.”
“Pretend?” I ask, shocked.Fuck, I know I haven't flirted with someone in ages but fuck me, am I that bad?
“Oh, come on, Rock. You can have all the women you want. I saw how they look at you. All you have to do is snap your fingers and they'll be at your feet.” I think, other than Di, no woman was ever so blunt with me.
“Oh Princess, you won't get rid of me so easily.” She looks so surprised that I find her adorable. I take a step closer, caressing her neck. Her eyes never leave mine and I bend down. I want to taste those lips. It’s a pull I can’t fight. Her breath quickens and when my lips crashes on hers the whimper she does is so sexy that I want to hear it again. For once my mind goes off.
Peace.
No voices shouting at me.
No guilt.
Nothing.
Just pleasure and desire.
I break the kiss and rest my forehead on her still in awe of how she made me feel. Slowly the sounds around us turn again, and I can't take my eyes off her. Her phone rings, breaking the spell but she ignores it.
“Your phone.” I whisper, making her giggle.
“Still up for my lift?”
Fuck, her breathless voice is so sexy. “Sure, Princess.”
“You drive,” she hands me her keys and then goes to sit in the shotgun. “just follow the GPS.”
I nod as I start the engine, while her cell phone connects to the car Bluetooth showing on the screen a message.
Raven: Icylight at five.
I can't help but read it, curiosity piqued. “Five in the morning?” I joke.
“Yep.” She confesses as she tugs her seatbelt.
Briefly I peer at her. “Is that a girl code or something?”
She bursts out laughing while I drive toward the highway. “No, it's my training routine.”
Routine? Who would ever choose to wake up so early? “Now I'm curious, Princess.”
She turns on the AC. “I'm an ice skater.”
“For real?”
“Yes, for real.” Her amused voice is another thing I like.
“I'd like to see you on ice.”What? What the hell is wrong with me? Second dates are a no for me.
She types on her cell phone and then places it on the dashboard. “Come toIcylightwhenever you want, I'm always there until eleven.”
