“Yes, but we are, in our other shape,” Jake said.“We’re born to be expert flyers. You’re as safe with one of us as you’d be in a plane.”
“Safer,” said Alex confidently.“Drakes never crash.”
“Flying is fun,” Jake insisted.“The only thing more fun than flying is what we’ve been doing the last few days.”
“True.Nothing more fun than that,” Alex said.“But flying comes a very close second.Let us show you.”
Leery of the whole idea in spite of how much I trusted them, I said, “Mmm…I don’t know, guys.”
Holding out a hand to me, Jake said, “You trust us with everything else, don’t you?”
“Of course I do.”
“Then you know you can trust us when I tell you we’d never, ever let go of you up there.”
“Yeah,” said Alex with a devilish grin.“If we let you go splat on the ground, we’d never get to do any of the better stuff with you.”
“Come flying with us,” said Jake, still holding out his hand.“It’ll feel almost as good as…you know…just coming.”
“Promise,” Alex said.
How could I look into those two incredibly sexy, smiling faces, remembering the way they’d made me feel for hours and days, and not trust them?I knew they would never allow me to come to harm.Jake was right; the only “coming” that would ever happen to me would not happen in the air.
I took Jake’s hand and said, “Well, it’ll be something new, I guess.”
“You won’t be sorry,” said Jake.
_______________
What does a girl wear to fly with dragons? I wondered.
I slipped on some panties, jeans, and a pair of deck shoes and joined them on the terrace.Jake and Alex were already in dragon form and ready to go when I got out there.
Some humans found Drakes frightening-looking or even ugly in their winged reptilian forms.I never understood why.I’d never been afraid of reptiles.Granted, I found snakesand lizards startling when I wasn’t prepared to see them, but I never recoiled from them the way some humans do.In fact I’d always found Drakes fascinating to look at, long before I was ever personally acquainted with one.Reptiles in general are some of the prettiest creatures, with their scaly bodies and patterns of color. That was the way Drakes were.Drakes in dragon shape were scaly all over except for their wings, which were smooth, supple, and leathery — naturally, made for flying; and their pecs and abs, which were in the shape of human chest and stomach muscles, but sculpted out of shiny, flexible, living leather that made them look even more awesome.Every Drake had his own individual pattern and his own combination of scale colors.Along with the wings, the horns, and their general human shapes, they were beautiful in their strange, off-human sort of way. What was more, just as in some other species of animals, nature had made the male ones prettier than the females. The males had more color to them and their colors were brighter and more vibrant. The pair that greeted me on the terrace now, in their reptilian guise, were as spectacular looking as they were in human form.
One of them was covered in scales of multiple green and blue colors, with hints of violet along his arms and legs. The other was all shades of green, accented by bands of gold and flecks of turquoise.I looked them up and down, and when my eyes came to rest on the pouches of their thongs, I recalled something that I’d heard about but never seen.In this shape, male Drakes actually had a forked, double penis which was covered with rough, sharp scales; an organ that could be safely used only on a female Drake when she was in her own dragon shape.I creased my lips at the thought of that.Speaking of something that they hadn’t done with me, making love to me with their dragon maleness was one thing that Alex and Jakenever would do with me — and for that I was grateful. The lady Drakes of the world were welcome to that!
I thought back to the night I first met them in the park, when they rescued me from that beer-bellied creep who was hitting on me.That was actually the only time I’d ever seen them even in partial morph; the rest of the time we’d spent together up to this point, they’d remained fully human in my presence. But I remembered which one of my guys had which color when he changed his body, and first I pointed, smiling, to the green, blue, and violet one and called his name:“Alex.”Then I pointed to the one with the gold and turquoise scales:“Jake.”
In response, they nodded the horned dragon heads on their serpentine necks and let out hissing, rumbling noises that somehow sounded far more sexy than threatening.
“So, I assume you’re not going to carry me between you.I hope not, anyway.Which one will I be flying with?”
“We flipped a coin,” said Alex, his familiar voice now deepened in pitch and having a more coarse, scratchy quality to it.“Your pilot will be Jake.”
Jake flicked a forked tongue at me, which made me tingle a bit.How would it feel to be licked by that?Especially in the most intimate place? The tingle went up and down my spine at the thought of it.“Ready to take off?” Jake asked, holding out one scaly arm to me.
“Okay,” I said.“But please, no mid-air switches. If you want to hand me to Alex, it has to be on the ground.”
“That’s fair,” said Jake.Alex gave a hiss and a flick of his own forked tongue, which I took as agreement.
“Well then,” I said, “let’s go.”
I walked to Jake and he pulled me into his reptile arms, and at the touch of him in this form I gasped and froze up a bit.Jake sensed my reaction and asked, “Are you okay?”
My face reddened at the reason for my seeming shock. This was not the first time that I’d touched a Drake.Mark used to touch me in his own dragon form — sometimes to give me the pleasure of feeling his warm, leathery, scaly-textured body, but sometimes to hurt and punish me.It was those two conflicting memories, pleasure and pain, that made me freeze defensively. Thanks to Mark, my body had learned to associate dragon flesh with both things and had gone into a shock of remembered agony and terror.
“I’m sorry,” I said, looking down, mortified at myself.“It’s just…”
