“You… drew me a bath?” she asks after glancing at the tub.

“I didn’t like how cold you were from the rain.”

She rewards me with a sweet kiss. “Will you join me?”

“If you want me to.”

With my help, Bri steps into the warm water. She shuts off the tap and looks back at me with a smile that takes my breath away.

“Just give me a second to throw our clothes in the dryer,” I say before rushing off to strip and start the laundry.

Her gaze snaps to me when I return, crossing the bathroom. My arousal is evident, but I choose to ignore it for now as I settle behind her. Leaning back against my chest in the tub, Bri guides my hands over her stomach while emotion chokes my throat at the sight of our baby bump in our hands.

“I meant what I said, Bri,” I tell her, looking down at her.

She drops her head back against my chest and looks up at me as best she can.

“Which part?” she asks, dropping her head back against my chest and looking up at me as best she can.

“All of it,” I reply. “Especially the part about not letting you go.”

“I’m going to hold you to that,” Bri says with a contented sigh, cuddling back into me.

We sit in silence and enjoy being close to each other. There will be plenty of time later for us to continue our conversation, toiron out the details and make sure we’re both on the same page regarding our relationship.

For now, I hold my future close and let myself relax in this precious moment.

SABRINA

“Well, I’ll be damned,” a deep, rich voice says from behind me, followed by a dramatic whistle. “Now I understand what people mean when they say someone is glowing.”

I smile and shake my head. “Shouldn’t I be the one trying to charm you, Mr.Henderson?”

Leo’s hand flies up to his chest with a dramatic groan. “Shot to the heart, making me sound like an old man.”

I shrug and smirk at him. “I mean, I do recall attending your fortieth birthday party last year.”

Dropping his hand, he makes a dramatic show of flexing his biceps. “Yeah but look at me and tell me that I look like a ‘Mr.Henderson’ to you!”

I roll my eyes, turning away to motion for Quinn and Tucker to join us while also hoping he doesn’t notice my blush.

Leo is exceptionally attractive, especially when he’s dressed to the nines as he is today. With smooth, dark skin and light brown eyes that practically twinkle whenever he smiles, he is the definition of a charmer. The suit he has on hugs his muscles so tightly that I’m almost surprised his sleeve didn’t rip when heflexed. Yet, even though he knows just how good looking he is, I’ve never once seen him let it get to his head.

As Quinn and Tucker head toward us, he gently nudges me with his elbow.

“Are you doing okay?” He rubs his tattooed, golden hand over his jaw and grimaces. “I mean, you look really good. But you were kind of the talk of the city for a while there after calling off the wedding and quitting your job…I was worried about you.”

Well, I’m officially in the last trimester so my ankles swell within five minutes of standing, I’ve had a headache for the past two days and my back always hurts.

But I know he doesn’t actually want to hear about any of that, so instead, I plaster a pleasant smile on my face. Tugging his hand from his face and linking our elbows together, I lead him further into the tasting room.

“I’m as good as can be expected when growing a whole human,” I say, holding my stomach and discreetly pressing over the slight pain on the top of my stomach as I focus on introductions. “But I’m good. Working here was always my goal; I just got held back.”

Leo places his hand over mine on his arm, dazzling me with his beautiful smile.

“And there’s a guy?” He teases, and I laugh, playfully shoving him away as my blush spreads across my face and down my neck.

“Yes,” I admit with a giggle. “He happens to own the farm next door and he is…”
