I shouldn’t have ignored her calls.

Quinn keeps Leo distracted, discussing some of our wines with him while I stare out the window after Tucker. He doesn’t look immediately distressed or upset, so I take it as a sign that she’s physically okay.

Turning back to Leo and Quinn, I try to refocus on their conversation.

“And all the wines here are made on property?”

“Yes,” I answer. “We can show you production and storage once Tucker is back.”

As I glance over my shoulder, Tucker steps back inside. His gaze immediately finds mine and puts me on high alert as I approach him.

“What’s wrong? Is she okay?”

Tucker reaches for my hand, squeezing it tightly. “She’s perfectly fine. She was trying to warn you that?—”

“Sabrina,” a voice calls out.

My eyes widen in shock and my spine stiffens at the sound of the voice. Staring at Tucker, I shake my head. “Tell me that isn’t who I think it is.”

But Tucker glares over my shoulder with a look that would send me running if I was on the receiving end.

“That’s what Addison was trying to warn you about,” he says. “Apparently, your brother still talks to Paul and let it slip that some city guy was coming to see the winery…and that you’re pregnant.”

He glances toward Leo and I suppress a curse.

This is supposed to be a business meeting, and Paul showing up here does not help anything. While Leo does know him verywell, we do not need to be causing a scene while trying to get him to invest.

“Can you continue the tour and I’ll meet you when I’m finished?” I ask Tucker but it’s too late.

“Paul? What are you doing here?” Leo asks, stepping up beside me and Tucker. He looks down at me with furrowed brows before stepping forward and out of my sight.

“I need to talk to Sabrina,” Paul says from behind me and I take a deep breath.

My temple pulses with a sharp pain that I try to ignore as I finally turn around.

Leo stands with his arms crossed, scowling down at Paul.

“We’re in the middle of a business meeting, so you’ll have to come back later,” Leo insists as Tucker moves around me to stand next to him. Quinn comes up beside me, linking her arm with mine in solidarity.

“Should we hide while he’s busy?” She whispers and I can’t help but laugh.

“No,” I reassure her, squeezing her hand. “At least, I don’t think so. I’ll let you know if I change my answer, though.”

Sighing, I step out of her hold and around Tucker.

“What are you doing here, Paul?” I ask, just as the sharp pain at the top of my stomach returns.

Paul’s eyes immediately drop to my stomach with a frown. Movement over his shoulder catches my attention and despite the dread unraveling around me, I can’t help but smile at the sight of Noah.

“I came to bring you and my baby home,” Paul finally answers, and my head snaps back toward him.

NOAH

“Excuse me?” Bri yells, her head whipping towards the man in front of me.

“You can’t just run off and not tell me you’re pregnant!” the guy says, taking a step towards her. He freezes when Tucker and the tall man—presumably the investor—move to intervene.

Bri sucks in a deep breath and presses a hand to her stomach. “Paul, we’re working. Come back in a couple of hours and we can talk then.”
