Crisis averted.

Now to deal with the masked giant standing in front of me.

CHAPTER SIX-TOMMY

Iwas grinning like a fucking lunatic, but Vixen, aka Camryn couldn’t see it.

No one could.

And that made it all the better.

“Okay, sorry Del, but everyone else, you know what time it is?” she asked.

“SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!” everyone yelled.

“This is so not a good idea,” Rena complained.

I silently agreed, especially when I noticed Vixen had ordered two cocktails while avoiding looking at me.

But when Buck set a tray with shot glasses down, I noticed they were gone in ten seconds. Vixen slammed her empty on the table, glaring at me angrily before sliding out of her barstool with a little wobble.

“Where are you going?” Jan yelled over the noise.

“Bathroom,” she replied.

“Want me to come with?”

“Uh, no thanks,Mom. I can pee all alone,” she snarked back.

Feisty.

Good.

Vixen proved to have a sharp wit, her banter crackling with an electric energy as I listened in on her conversations with the others.

She was quick, clever, and unafraid to toss out playful jabs, leaving her friends in fits of laughter while keeping the atmosphere lively.

She was refreshing. A breath of fresh air in a world often saturated with the mundane.

I was used toyes women. L.A. was full of them, and everyone wanted a piece of a music producer whose penchant for picking hits was getting known.

At first, it was exciting. But it got old fast. So did many aspects of the business, which was why I was back here. On the East Coast.

Vixen was something different, though. Beyond her sass and humor, there was something else that intrigued me—something raw and enticing.

I already knew she was a dirty girl. The woman conjured a primal hunger within me.

The way she flirted with double entendres and played coy with her innuendos sent a thrill coursing through my veins.

Beneath that playful exterior lay a depth of passion just waiting to be explored.

I liked that aspect of her very much. But I was greedy. I wanted more. And I planned to find out other ways we were compatible.

She was more than just her sharp tongue and shy flirtations.

There was a mystery about her, a complexity that called to me like a siren song. I was determined to unravel it, to discover the full spectrum of who she was.

Just as soon as I finished tailing her to the bathroom.
