“We don’t want to overwhelm you,” Callan inserted.
“But it is important we understand how your sisters and you were brought to the island.”
“You said Witches were involved?”
“Yes, and though I am beyond grateful for anything responsible for bringing you into our lives—”
“We both are,” Landry interrupted.
“As the Heads of the Council of Triads, it is our duty to meet with the Coven Relata representatives to find out what happened.”
“You mean because I don’t belong here?” Sage asked in a small voice laced with fear.
“No!!” Twin roars were followed by both of her new mates sitting on either side of her.
Landry clasped her left hand, and Callan her right as they sought to ease their own tension through touch. Shifters were physical beings, so it made sense. A fact she very much appreciated since the second she thought about meeting with a Witch who may or may not decide her meeting these men was a mistake her stomach damn near turned in on itself.
“Love, no one is taking you from us.”
“Aye, I’d turn them to ash if they tried,” Callan growled.
She leaned into him, seeking his strength while continuing to allow Landry’s enormous hand to swallow hers. Heat poured off both males, and the matebond they’d created only hours prior pulsed around them.
“Okay,” she said, believing them. She nodded. It was time.
“Let’s go meet with this Witch.”
