Chapter 4

See that? She is fucking incredible.

Yes. Are you picking up that sublime scent?

Fuck yeah, Ross thought, it’s like strawberries and whipped cream.

With hints of vanilla, Misha added.

Ross could practically taste it on his tongue. That sweet, seductive flavor was calling to him and his Alpha. It was all sweetness with hints of spice the deeper he breathed it in. The seductive flavor invaded his nostrils, wrapping around his heart and stroking his cock. Fuck. Need pulsed through him. The half-ton Elk inside of him stilled. His enormous rack pointed to the sky as he sucked in the air and swallowed it down.

Mine, Misha’s Bear growled.

Ours, Ross’ Elk countered.

It would be the same until they claimed her. Misha’s dominant beast would need reminding that he was not alone. It was not a challenge, but rather his beast’s natural aggression pushing forward. Ross helped him control that side of his nature. It was part of why they worked the way they did. Misha protected and took charge of their own, where Ross listened and made sure their Clan was whole. Their third would help ground the two of them.

She would be their anchor, the bond that sealed their connection. Allowing them to experience the full extent of their Shifter strengths without giving in to the beasts that shared their existence. She would be their everything. Their focus. Their reason.

The two men sought her out across the room. True, they’d only glimpsed her in the dark, crowded space. Dressed in a tempting yellow frock that hugged her curves, hair like fire, and an ass that wouldn’t stop. Fuck yeah, Ross needed her at his side. Now.

Walking through the crowd slowly, Misha and Ross passed a throng of interested females, dismissing them all, until they found her. Hearts pounding in time, he and Misha were deaf, dumb, and blind to everything else but her.

Holy fucking shit, she is beautiful. All curves and swells, dips, and valleys. He broadcasted the thought to his Alpha.

“Mine,” Misha growled.

“Ours,” corrected the Omega, and Misha nodded readily.

Acknowledging his Omega as part of his trusted Triad. Ross grunted as he watched the woman. She was breathtaking. All hills and valleys. Her body was incredible, and her face. Holy fuck. She had the face of an angel. A sweetheart little chin, smooth creamy skin, pert nose, and pleasing mannerisms. She was with two other women, but he dismissed them. They were not his. After chatting, the other two left and she was alone.

Not for long.

We should go over, talk to her, Ross agreed.

Wait, I need a moment, Misha’s Kodiak Bear was a fucking monster of a beast. He snarled and clawed, causing the man to wrestle with him for precious moments before he could finally control him enough to move.

Ross waited. Hand on his Alpha’s shoulder, to give him strength while he subdued the animal. He was privileged to offer aid to the man who was not only his best friend, but his blood brother. The two of them would always be together as part of the Triad ruling the Kodiak Island Clan.

They were not traditional in the sense that their small community comprised various Shifter species, but Misha was the most dominant of them all. And Ross was his Omega, a rare and valued position amongst Shifters. There would be no jealousy between them. Only their mate. Their gorgeous, curvy as hell, redheaded mate.

“She’s really fucking beautiful,” Ross’ whisper reached his Alpha’s ears, and the man growled in agreement.

“So small.” Misha cocked his head to the side, eyes glowing with his Bear as he took in all her five-foot some odd inch frame with a grin.

“We will protect her,” Ross stated, “and we will claim her. Now.”

“Easy.” Misha’s hand landed on his Omega’s shoulder. “First we should introduce ourselves.” He glanced at her wrist.

Happiness blossomed through him as he saw the bracelet gracing her delicate wrist. Her smile widened when she saw him looking, then she was glancing down at the bracelet. If he wasn’t mistaken, there’d been a flash of heat in her chocolate brown eyes.

So beautiful, he thought.

Yes, and I saw desire in her gaze. She wants us.

Grrr, his Elk growled.

Misha’s eyes narrowed at Ross’ sudden anger. Typically, the Elk Shifter was the calmer of the two, but it seemed Misha’s Bear was not the only one having a challenging time fighting for control as another Triad pair approached the tempting normal.
