They both moaned when he slid out of her well-used heat and slumped beside her on the blanket. Lance was still catching his breath, but he had the most endearing smile on his face.
“That was-”
“Phenomenal,” she finished for him, and they both laughed.
“Yes,” he sighed, and pulled her against him, nuzzling her with his nose and mouth.
“Are you staying the night?” she asked, but the sounds of his even breathing answered that question.
Oh well, she wouldn’t die from a second round of Shifter nookie in the morning. He might be a dog of a Tiger. And she might be one of a very long list of names, scribbled in some little black book he kept tucked away. But it would be so worth it.
Totally worth it. Anna sighed and snuggled into him, loving the feel of his big warm body. Her heart was so full. How was she going to get over this one night?
Well, at least her neighbor Gerri was right about one thing. The sex was out of this world. If only Anna could resign herself to the probability that it was a one off. The idea of leaving the cabin, leaving him, caused a sob to stick in her throat, but she had to face facts. Lance was not a forever kind of guy. And even though she was pretty certain she was head over heels for the guy, chances were tomorrow he’d be on to the next conquest. And she would be on her way home.
At least she got to spend the night, she thought, kissing his shoulder as sleep swept over her.
