Page 22 of Mine for a Moment

I keep one hand in his hair and move the other to his cheek, reveling in this connection between us. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but this is so much more. “Please,” I whisper, unsure what I’m asking for. My body is humming with desire, and I moan when he begins to move slowly, carefully.

“Beautiful,” Archer whispers. “You’re so fucking beautiful, Sera. You feel incredible.”

His nose brushes against mine, and I tighten my grip on his hair when he kisses me, his hand moving between us. “Archer,” I whisper against his mouth when he places his thumb against my clit, trapping his hand between us.

He just kisses the edge of my mouth and smiles. “Let me try,” he says, his tone cajoling. “I’m desperate for one more. I need to feel you come on my cock.”

He keeps his eyes on mine as he moves his hips, his thumb slowly bringing me to the edge all over again. His pace increases, and the way his breathing changes makes my entire body sing. Watching ArcherHarrison lose control over me is something I suspect I’ll never get enough of.

He thrives on my moans, his eyes lighting up each time he makes my hips roll, and before long, he’s got my back arching and my legs trembling. “Yeah,” he whispers, taking me harder, faster. “Just like that, baby. Come for me, beautiful.”

And I do.

My muscles tighten just as he groans, his head falling to the crook of my neck as I come, taking him right along with me. “Fuck,” he pants, rocking his hips gently as he kisses my temple. “That was fucking incredible.”

He sighs happily, his body relaxing on top of mine for a few moments, before he pulls out and moves to his side, lying down beside me. He cups my face and turns my head toward him. “Feeling okay?” he asks, his gaze filled with worry.

I nod, suddenly self-conscious. I clutch at his covers and pull them up, not quite sure what to do or say. I hadn’t thought of what the appropriate thing to do isafter. “I, um, I should probably go.”

He stares at me like I’ve lost my mind. “Gowhere?” he asks, a brow raised.

“Home?” My tone lacks the confidence I tried to infuse in it, and I squeeze my legs together, feeling a little uncomfortable and a whole lot of awkward.

Archer reaches for one of my curls and twirls it around his index finger. “Please stay,” he whispers, surprising me.

“W-Would that be okay? I, um, I don’t want to cling to you or do anything that would annoy you. I’m already asking for so much.”

He chuckles and pulls me close, enveloping me in a tight hug. I relax into him, my nose pressed against his throat. “Stay,” he murmurs, cupping the back of my head. “Right here, in my arms.”

“You’ve picked up CAD rendering very quickly,” Mark says as he leans in to look at my screen. “I have a feeling you’re going to end up becoming a permanent member of the design team when you finish your internship.”

I smile up at him as Theo rolls his chair closer to take a look at my proposed changes to the POS system that’s causing so many issues. “Damn,” he says, smiling wryly. “This is a thousand times better than my attempts.”

I grin at him as he moves back to his own desk, pleased with myself. I’ve fully thrown myself into the task we were assigned this morning, in an attempt to keep my mind off Archer and the slight sensitivity between my legs. I fell asleep in his arms last night, and everything just felt so much more intimate than I’d anticipated. He wasn’t anything like what I’d expected in bed. His usual aloofness was entirely absent, and having his undivided attention was intoxicating.

I bite my lip as my mind replays the way he asked me if I’d let him take care of me before he grabbed a warm, wet towel, taking his time to wipe my thighs clean for me. Not even in my wildest dreams did I think he had that side to him, and it affected me more than he could possibly know.

The sound of the company’s instant messaging system snaps me out of my thoughts, and my eyes widen when I see Archer’s name. I look around furtively before opening the message, my heart pounding.

Archer Harrison

why weren’t you in my bed when I woke up this morning?

My breath hitches, and I sit up a little, a thrill running down my spine as I type a reply, trying my best to be both quick and sly.

I had to get ready for work, and I didn’t want to wake you.

Archer Harrison

don’t sneak out without a word again, darling. Just wake me up next time.

My heart skips a beat at the sight of the endearment, and instantly, my mind teases me with memories of him whisperingcome for me, darling.
