When the opening act was done, there was an enthusiastic round of applause from the audience. The band seemed sincere as they thanked the crowd before leaving. He liked when bands were appreciative of their fans.

There was a short intermission as the roadies came out to switch out the drums and adjust microphones. Kevin grinned, trying not to bounce up and down like a goof from excitement. As the house lights went down again, Nate tugged Kevin around to stand in front of him. His hard arms wrapped around his waist, holding on to him.

Peach Supreme came out to loud applause and cheers, the front woman greeting the crowd in her low voice. The audience quieted as a red glow lit the stage, warmly illuminating the band. Everywhere else was encased in soft, black darkness. The band started off with one of their smooth flows, the crowd swaying along to the music. Nate picked up the beat, moving too. Kevin smiled to himself. He’d been to lots of concerts and always seen couples dancing together. It was nice to finally be the one snuggled up with a date.

He relaxed into Nate’s embrace, enjoying the moment. As Peach Supreme moved through their set, the songs got a little smoother, a little sexier. Nate hugged him closer, his hand stroking across his stomach a few times before slipping beneath his shirt. His fingers played there, tracing slow circles around his navel before edging past the waist of his jeans. Kevin stiffened, attempting to move away. But Nate pulled him back, bending down slightly to whisper in his ear.

“Hold still. I want to touch you. It’s dark, no one will see.”

Kevin held still. His jeans were just loose enough for Nate’s hand to ease past the waistband. Once inside, his long fingers teased along Kevin’s shaft, just barely dancing over his skin. The cymbal crashed just as Nate wrapped his hand around his cock, drowning out his gasp. He pumped him softly, slowly, in time with the music.

Kevin bit his lip. He pressed back against Nate, which made the man groan soft and low in his ear. Nate kept moving his hips in time with the music, but now he held Kevin even tighter against him, pushing his hardness against his ass while they rocked side to side. Nate brushed kisses over his neck, the rough scruff of his beard tickling the sensitive skin.

Kevin’s heart raced as Nate kept stroking him. Everything else faded to the background; the music, the smoke, the lights, the swaying crowd, until it was just him and Nate pressed together. His eyelids grew heavy and he relaxed even further against him. Nate drew his thumb up his shaft then brushed it over the head in a damp caress. Kevin shuddered. He didn’t think he’d be able to hold back for much longer. And although he was loving the dangerous thrill he got being so intimate while they were surrounded by people, he didn’t want to have an orgasm in the middle of a concert. He turned his head just enough to lean up and whisper in Nate’s ear.

“I think we’d better stop. I’m ... close.”

Nate pressed his thick hardness against him one last time. “Fuck, so am I,” he whispered back. He slid his hand out of Kevin’s jeans, slowly as if he were reluctant to do so. And his arms stayed wrapped around him for the rest of the concert.

Once the concert was over, Kevin and Nate clapped and whistled along with everyone else. They made their way to the front of the building, following along with the flow of the crowd. When they were outside, the crowd separated, going off to different parking lots. The night air was cool, the distant sound of the highway a quiet hum in the background.

“Thank you, Nate. I love seeing them live. What’d you think?”

“I enjoyed the hell out of that concert. I’ve heard a few of their recent radio play songs, but didn’t know how deep their playlist was. They’ve got a real chill vibe. I like them.”

Kevin was glad to hear it, both because it would be nice to share a music interest with Nate and because he didn’t want their date to be a flop. They’d just reached the car when Nate grabbed his hand.

“I know you don’t like awkward situations, so I’m being up front and asking you now. Come home with me tonight?”

Kevin looked up at his date. The yellow glow from the street light overhead turned his blond hair to gold, glinting off the pale hair on his forearms. Kevin remembered what it felt like having those strong arms wrapped around him, how he’d felt as Nate stroked him so slowly to the beat of music he loved. He knew what would happen if he went home with Nate and he’d prepared for it. He took a deep breath.

“Okay.”

Nate smiled, giving him a quick kiss before letting his hand go to open up the car for him.
