Page 59 of Sold on Them

Mackenzie screams, her body tensing before she falls forward onto Parker who thrusts into her a few more times before groaning his own release.

“Can we start every morning like this?” I ask, pulling out of Royce.

“I’m down,” Mackenzie calls out, her words muffled slightly by Parker’s chest.

Cormac shakes his head. “Off to the shower—all of you. I’ll sanitize the kitchen and table while you clean up.”

He sounds annoyed with us but he helps Mackenzie and then Parker off the table, giving them each a kiss as he does so before moving over to kiss both me and Royce.

“Next time, I’m going to fuck you while you’re fucking Royce,” Cormac says as he pulls away, smirking at the shock on my face.

Royce laughs, throwing his arm around me. “Gotta watch out for that one. He doesn’t always say a lot, but when he does, it has a big impact.”

“No shit.” I grab Mackenzie’s hand, pulling her along as Royce leads us up the stairs.

I might have been joking about starting our day like this all the time, but we can if we want. No one is on the run anymore. There’s no price on Parker’s head anymore. We can do whatever the hell we want—even fuck in the kitchen every morning.

I can’t say I would mind it all that much.

Epilogue

Mackenzie

Six years later

“Mackenzie!”

I startle at the shouting of my name, glancing over my shoulder to find Parker standing there. “Why are you yelling at me?”

He scoffs. “I called your name like ten times, and you didn’t hear me.”

That sounds about right. I tend to get lost in my work, shutting out the rest of the world.

“What do you expect? You know I’m knee deep in the damn cartel data Santos sent over. Did you know how much he was going to send over when we took this job from him? It’s going to take forever for me to analyze everything.”

Parker shrugs. “But you’re the best at ferreting out traitors based on data. He doesn’t know how far back it started, so he sent over everything since he’s been in charge. That’s a lot of years of data.”

“No shit, Sherlock. I’m the one having to go through it, so I know how much there is. Hence the complaint.” Rolling my eyes, I turn back to the computer and make sure to save everything before spinning the chair around. “Now, why are you bothering me while I’m working?”

“Because it’s nearly seven. Me and Damon finished dinner. Cormac and Royce will be back any minute now, and I figured you wanted to be a part of the surprise you planned.” Parker just grins at me, used to my frustration at being interrupted while I’m working.

Glancing at the time, I curse. “Motherfucker. Why didn’t you come get me sooner? I need to get changed. I’m not going to have time to do my hair or makeup now.”

“I came in here an hour ago and you told me to go fuck myself, so I let you be.” Parker laughs while I frown.

I definitely don’t remember that happening.

Oops.

Shaking my head, I spin the chair around and get my computer shut down. Once I’m done, I hurry past a laughing Parker and up the stairs.

It’s Cormac’s forty-sixth birthday and the anniversary of the auction that changed our lives. We decided to surprise him with a meal he didn’t cook, a cake I baked this morning, and the three of us in very little clothing.

The very little clothing thing happens every year, but the other activities vary year by year. We didn’t even bring Royce in on our surprise this year, so I’m sure he’ll be just as surprised.

I hurry into our bedroom, heading straight for the closet where I hid the lingerie I’m wearing tonight. It’s an almost exact replica of what I wore to the auction. I think everyone will appreciate it.

The last six years haven’t been easy for us. We’ve had to work hard and fight for what we wanted in our lives and in our relationships. Overcoming our time spent with Carlos was hard for me and Damon. Not to mention Parker, who I still think is holding onto some of the guilt he feels from that night. Working with a therapist helped, but there are still times flashbacks hit me out of nowhere.
