Hedda leaned into his side and he wrapped his arm around her.

"I love you," Oliver said.

"I love you, as well," Leo squeezed her hand.

She let out a little content sigh. "I love you both."

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

HEDDA

Two days had passed since she told Oliver and Leo. Or well, Papa and Daddy.

It came natural to call them Papa and Daddy, but part of her was still holding onto the past. Holding on that they wouldn't want her anymore.

Hedda was still struggling with the fact that they didn't want to throw her out. Why didn't they? It was weird that they were okay with it all. They didn't really question her much after she told them what happened.

Part of her is relieved that they aren't mad at her or appalled. But the other part of her wished they were. It wasn't okay to murder someone. Both of them should be mad at her for what she did. They should get rid of her and turn her in.

Why hadn't they?

No doubt Richard's boss was looking for him, trying to figure out what happened. Had they reported him missing? Were they actively looking into it?

Rogan had made Raynar clean everything up and get rid of the body. That was Raynar's job, the cleaner and body remover. It was his specialty and she never questioned it. Rogan didn't like her asking questions about the work, so she never asked.

Sure, she was super curious about it, but she had seen her brother mad at people who asked too many questions and she didn't want that towards her.

"Are you okay?" Daddy asked.

She looked over at him sitting on the couch. She hadn't even realized she stopped walking until he spoke to her.

Was she okay?

No, she wasn't. There was nothing right about her.

"Princess?" Daddy asked.

Hedda continued to stare at him before she nodded her head. She loved it when he called her princess and he knew that. Her cheeks got red every single time and right now was no exception.

"Did you just lie to me?" Daddy asked, his voice going a little lower than normal.

She kept her breathing even, even though she wanted to start panicking. No lying was one of her rules and she had just broken it.

Hedda shook her head, keeping up with her lie. Maybe if she continued to say she was okay, he wouldn't press anymore. Then he would never know she lied to him.

Daddy let out a sigh. "Come over here."

She thought about it for a second. Did she want to go over towards him? Hedda shook her head and stayed right where she was.

"Now," Daddy said as he pointed right in front of him.

But she made no attempt to move. Daddy raised an eyebrow and pointed at the spot again. Her feet started to move on their own accord.

She looked down at them. "Stupid feet for listening."

Daddy grabbed her hands when she stood in front of him. "They aren't stupid. They know who is in charge."

Hedda pouted. "I'm in charge so that means they are stupid if they don't listen to me."
