Hedda looked back out the window and heard him walk away.
Good riddance.
CHAPTER FOUR
LEO
Leo sighed as he walked out of Jaxson's office. He had done some research for him about green cards and what would be the best way for Sofia to get hers. Nothing was guaranteed and he hoped that Sofia would have no difficulty with the whole process. He wanted them to be happy and have nothing hanging over their heads, threatening their relationship.
Now they just needed to figure out who was giving Sofia those threatening messages and take them out. He didn't like anyone getting threatened, especially Littles who had done nothing wrong.
Leo was happy that Jaxson had found the love of his life, but he couldn't help but feel a little jealous. He wanted that and almost had it, but Hedda had pulled away from them and he was worried.
Worried she wasn't taking care of herself. That she was being reckless and not taking her life seriously. Was she okay? Was she eating three meals a day and drinking enough water?
Leo had a feeling that she wasn't, and he didn't like that. But at the same time, he hoped Michael would have stepped in and done something. He was a doctor and took care of people like this.
He couldn't help but worry about her. They had been talking for months and got to know each other really well. So much that Leo knew he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and his brother. He knew that Oliver felt the same way and before Hedda had ghosted them, Leo felt like she was close to the same feeling.
But something had got in the way of that and made her pull away and he didn't know what it was.
He started walking towards his brother's office when he got a phone call.
Michael.
"Hello?" Leo said. "What can I do for you?"
"Hedda isn't doing good."
Leo stopped walking and looked up at the ceiling.
"What do you mean she isn't doing good?" He didn't like the sound of that.
"Are you close to your brother?" Michael asked.
"Give me one second."
Leo quickly walked towards his brother's office, walking in without knocking.
"Leo," he growled. "Knock."
"Shut up."
He pulled the phone away from his ear and put it on speaker phone.
"You're on speaker and I'm with Oliver," Leo said.
Oliver looked at him weird, but Leo didn't pay any attention to it.
"She's not doing too well," Michael said. "She's been snapping at Monroe and myself a lot lately. Cursing at us when we mention taking care of herself or getting out of the house."
Leo wasn't shocked that she was cursing. When they first started talking, she cursed like a sailor and he had told her several times that they were going to work on that. She didn't need to be cursing.
"She hasn't been taking care of herself?" Oliver asked.
"She's lost a lot of weight since she moved in. Hedda hasn't been eating or drinking much," Michael said. "I've tried to get her to, but she won't. She's no doubt dehydrated and I'm worried about her. In the beginning, I told her I would put an IV in her if I needed to and I'm about ready to do it."
"Shit," Leo said.
