She didn't want to go outside. Not when it wasn't safe.

"I don't want that," she whispered and looked away.

It broke her heart to deny herself ice cream, but being outside where she wasn't safe was more pressing.

"Why not?" Oliver asked.

"I don't want it."

"I know you love ice cream," Leo gently said. "Is it because it's outside?"

She didn't answer and that gave them their answer. She didn't want to go outside and they couldn't make her.

Someone grabbed her hands and pulled her towards them.

Oliver.

She tried to tug her hand out of his hold, but his grip was firm and she couldn't.

"We'll both keep you safe," Oliver said. "You never have to worry about that. You're safe with us."

She shook her head and tried to pull her hand out of his grip again. She didn't want to do this right now.

Hedda didn't want to listen to them tell her everything was going to be okay and that they were going to keep her safe. She felt safe with them, but that didn't change anything. They didn't know what happened before she came to Missouri.

"I think it would be good for you to get out of the house with us. I think fresh air will help you out a lot," Leo gently said. "You might see that you actually like it once you get out of the house."

Hedda shook her head again. She didn't want to leave the house.

"No," she whispered and tried to tug her hand out of Oliver's firm grip. "Let me fucking go."

"We're going to keep you safe. We'll never let anything happen to you," Oliver said as he tugged her closer.

His arms wrapped around her waist and he pulled her to his chest. She pushed against his chest, trying to get away. His scent filled her nose and all she wanted to do was relax in his embrace.

There was something about both of their scents that made her relax and want to snuggle up to them. it was unlike her to want to do that, but each time she got close, it was hard not to give into the urge.

"You're such a good girl," he whispered in her ear. "We're going to go out and get ice cream. Enjoy the sun on our faces. We're going to have some fun and enjoy being out of the house."

She shook her head and tried to push away from him.

"We are going. It's going to be good for you," Leo said. "No one is after you. We'll keep you safe while we're out. Both of us will keep watch of you and our surroundings."

Oliver let her go and she shook her head again.

"It's not up for discussion. You never left Michael and Monroe's house when you were with them. We kept you in our house while you transitioned, but now it's time to go and get some fresh air," Oliver said. "Do you want to change before we leave?"

Hedda let out a sigh. She knew she wasn't going tochange their minds. They were going to take her out whether she liked it or not.

She was just going to have to deal with it. While they were out, she would be keeping watch herself. She knew they could watch over her and keep her safe, but she needed to look as well.

"Oreo ice cream?"Leo asked as they sat down at a table.

"Please," she softly said.

Oreo ice cream was her favorite. Something Leo had remembered. Hedda was still amazed at how much they remembered.

"I'll go get it while you sit with Oliver," Leo said. "Your regular?"
