"Damn straight we would," Leo replied. "We aren't going to tell you where she is."

"We aren't giving her up, not when we've been talking to her for several months," Oliver said. "We're taking care of her and trying to get her back to her normal self."

Rogan looked between them and still had Oliver up against the wall.

"Can you fucking let my brother go?" Leo asked, agitated.

Rogan let Oliver go and glared at them. Leo took it as an opportunity to explain the situation further. Apparently Hedda hadn't told her brother about them.

"She ghosted us before she came to Missouri and we want to know why," Leo said. "She is our Middle and we want nothing more than to spoil her and give her the best life."

"Fuck no," Rogan said. "Just tell me where my sister is! I'm taking her home."

"No," Oliver said. "You can't and you won't."

Rogan took a deep breath in before narrowing his eyes on Oliver. "Tell me where the fuck my sister is or I'll kill everyone here."

"Tell us what happened to her," Leo said.

"Fuck no. It's none of your business."

Leo sighed and knew they weren't going to get anywhere with him. He figured her brother wouldn't tell them anything about what happened but he had had a sliver of hope, not anymore.

"We won't tell you where she is," Oliver said. "She's safe and she's okay. Hedda is starting to eat a little more and has been drinking some fluids."

"She's still having trouble sleeping since she wakes up from the nightmares but we put her down for a nap every day so she can rest her body," Leo explained. "We're working on her getting better sleep and seeing you could trigger things and make it worse."

Leo wasn't lying. He had suffered, and still did, from nightmares and when he saw one of his old buddies, it senthim down a dark path. His buddy had looked so different, limbs missing and scars littering his body.

He didn't want Hedda to be triggered and get worse. They had seen a little progress with her and they didn't want any setbacks, not if they could help it.

"I don't fucking like this," Rogan said. "If I don't hear from my sister in the next two days, I'm going to find her and kill whoever is in my path. I don't care if it's a fucking woman who stands in my way."

Leo held back his flinch. He didn't like it when people killed innocent people for no reason. It wasn't okay and Rogan threatening to do that didn't sit well with him.

"And that's a promise," his voice was ice cold. Rogan walked off before either one of them could say anything.

"Let's go home," Leo sighed.

So much had happened in such a short amount of time. What were they going to do? They both needed to talk about it before they brought anything up to Hedda and they needed to be careful. What if they triggered her and she got worse? Hedda couldn't afford to lose any more weight or get less sleep than she already was.

Leo was surprised she hadn't started to hallucinate already.

They didn't even walk back into the reception area. They needed to go home and make sure that Hedda was alright. Had Rogan been here as a distraction or did he really not know where she was?

Leo had no doubt that they would probably be followed tonight as they were going home. They would just have tomake sure the code changed more frequently right now and until the foreseeable future.

"You call Hedda," Oliver said. "I'll drive."

Both of them got into the car and Leo pulled out his phone, calling Hedda.

"Come on," he mumbled. "Pick up the phone."

It continued to ring and a dreadful feeling filled his stomach. Why wasn't she picking up the phone? Could she have already been taken?

"Shit," Leo said as it went to voicemail. "She didn't pick up."

Oliver pressed on the gas pedal and they started to drive faster. Leo hoped nothing was wrong and she just wasn't near her phone.
