She wondered if they were getting sick and tired of her because of her nightmares. They were getting more and more vivid and scary. Hedda wondered if they had thought about putting her to sleep so she didn't wake up. They would have to do it against her will and she didn't think they would go that far.

Both of them would take turns holding her to try and calm her down. She always fought them, not wanting to be touched, but they didn't give her a choice. In the end, she always calmed down in their arms and was exhausted.

Nightmares always took a lot out of her.

She constantly fought with her body when they were around. Whenever she would get angry, they would hold her against them and her body always betrayed her. It would calm down after a couple minutes, no matter howhard she tried to fight it.

After her nightmares, they would call themselves Papa and Daddy and her mind started to follow along. She found herself calling them that and she had to remind herself that they weren't hers. Hedda always got angry once she calmed down and they let her go when she realized she had been calling them that.

She was starting to get comfortable with them

But Hedda shouldn't and couldn't let this happen. She needed to tell them sooner than later that she had killed someone so they would let her go. But something was holding her back. Maybe the thought that she still wanted to be with them.

She sighed and hugged Lila against her.

She had been trying so hard to stay angry all the time. To show the twins that their attempts to comfort her or try and get her to talk weren't working. She didn't know if they were believing her attempts.

It was exhausting when she was starting to feel anything but anger.

But Hedda needed to be strong and be angry. Maybe they would get tired of her always being angry and get rid of her. Deep down, she didn't want that, but it would be for the best. For them and for her.

She sighed again and walked back up the stairs. She was bored and didn't know what to do with her time. The twins had been keeping her busy and now with them gone, she didn't know what to do.

There were four rooms upstairs and each had a bathroom attached. Leo had explained that to her when he was giving her a little rundown of the house. They told her shecould go anywhere, but she hadn't since they followed her around.

She knew two of the rooms were theirs, one was hers, but the last one she had no clue. What could possibly be in there?

Hedda was about to find out. The twins weren't here and it was the perfect opportunity for her to explore around the house without them looking at her.

She made her way down the hallway and to the last door. Nerves filled her as her hand landed on the door handle. Should she go in there? Was it something bad? Maybe she shouldn't do this. What if it was something they wanted to keep a secret from her until she was ready to know about it?

Hedda shook her head. They would've mentioned if something wasn't okay for her to look at, right?

With that thought in her mind, she opened the door and saw another bedroom.

What?

Why was it another bedroom? The bed was bigger than anything she had seen and it smelled exactly like them. It was barren besides the bed in the room. It was like they had started to furnish it but stopped after they got the bed in there.

She took a couple more steps in the room and towards the bed. She absolutely loved the smell of both of them and the thought of laying on the bed enticed her.

They wouldn't mind if they didn't know she had laid down on it for a little bit. What they didn't know wouldn't hurt them.

Hedda pulled the covers back and crawled under, Lilaright next to her. Taking a deep breath of their scent, she relaxed into the bed. She could lay here for a couple of minutes and then leave. Get her fill of their scent while they aren't here and then go back to hating them once they get back.

Her eyes started to feel heavier as she laid in their bed. She didn't think their scent would calm her down this much. Maybe that was why whenever Oliver or Leo held her after a nightmare she calmed down.

Had they caught on to that? Was that why they always made sure her face was close to their body? She didn't care at the moment if they caught on to that or not. Right now she just wanted to relish being surrounded by their scent and not have to worry about anything.

Just a couple more minutes, she thought to herself.

Her eyelids felt heavier and this time she didn't fight with her body. She closed her eyes and snuggled into Lila, falling asleep with their scent around her.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

LEO

Oliver and Leo sat down at the circular table and waited for the bride and groom, Sofia and Jaxson, to walk through the doors.
