She grumbled under her breath but washed her hands. Before she could do anything, Oliver picked her up and started to walk towards the crib.
"I don't need to be put in there," she said.
"No can do," Oliver said. "You're going in and your wrists are being restrained so you can't hurt yourself."
"Fuck you."
She couldn't help but say that. She was getting angry that they were restraining her and that they didn't trust her. It was stupid and this shouldn't be happening.
She was a Middle and didn't need to be put into a crib. She wasn't a baby.
"I'm not a fucking baby!" she yelled. "I don't need fucking restraints or a crib!"
"Too bad," Oliver said. "Until you can behave yourself, you'll be getting restraints on your wrists. We don't want you to hurt yourself and if this is the only way to do it, then we'll do it."
"I won't!" she said.
"They're getting put on for this nap," Leo said. "There's no way around it."
She glared at both of them. "Fuck you two!"
Both of them sighed. Oliver put her down in the crib and they were quick to restrain her.
"No!" she screamed. "Stop!"
Leo ran his hands through her hair. "Shhh. You're okay. This is for your safety."
She glared at both of them and thrashed in her bed, trying to get out of the restraints but she couldn't.
"We love you," Leo said. "We just want what's best for you."
Leo leaned down and kissed her forehead, Oliver following after him. She stared at them with wide eyes as they walked away from the crib.
"If you need anything just yell Papa or Daddy and we'll come," Leo said. "We also have a baby monitor in here just in case."
She turned her head away from them as they left the room. Hedda was angry at them and she didn't want to look at their faces. She heard the door softly shut behind them and she stared up at the ceiling.
Hedda was trying her hardest to stay awake, but laying in the crib and not being able to move made her tired. She had many sleepless nights and knew without a doubt that she was exhausted and needed sleep badly.
But she didn't want to sleep. She didn't want the nightmares to chase her and make her scared.
She tried her hardest to stay awake, thinking about everything that she could. Hedda was mad at Oliver and Leo because they took her away from Michael and Monroe's house. They were taking over her life and she didn't know how she felt about the situation.
They had made the perfect room for her, and she didn't deserve that. She didn't deserve them. If they knew what she had done, they wouldn't want her anymore. Who would want a murderer as their Middle?
Hedda let out a groan and closed her eyes tightly for a couple of seconds before she opened them again. She could feel her eyelids getting heavier by the second, but she couldn't allow that.
How was she going to get away from them? She didn't know anything about technology and their house had a lot of technology in it. How was she going to get past the thumbprint and passcode to leave? Her fingerprint wasn't in the system and they had mentioned the passcode changing every couple of days.
The odds weren't in her favor.
Hedda didn't have her cellphone so she couldn't contact her brother. What worried her was that she promised Storm that she would contact her every morning. She had just been telling Storm that she was alive every day but now she wasn't going to be able to. Would Storm tell Miles and Miles would tell her brother?
Maybe that was how she was going to get out of this. But what if her brother hurt Oliver and Leo? She didn't want that.
She yelled out in frustration. Her emotions were everywhere and she didn't like that. For the several months she had been at Michael and Monroe's, she had been channeling it all into anger. Being with Oliver and Leo was making her feel other things.
She felt vulnerable but also relaxed with the ropes. They had almost made her cry several times.
