Oliver walked out of her view and he stopped hitting the paddle on his hand. Shit. Was he about to hit her?

"You will, at some point," Oliver said.

Before Hedda could say anything, pain erupted across her bottom and she yelled.

"Fuck you!" she yelled.

Several more swats come down on her bottom, all different places. Leo stood right in front of her, searching her face. Hedda clenched her jaw together, trying to keep herself from making a noise when the paddle connected with her skin.

"Such a potty mouth," Oliver said as he landed several more spankings on her bottom.

Hedda closed her eyes for several seconds and bit into her lip. She couldn't show them that she was weak and the paddle was working.

"No biting your lip," Leo said as he took her lip from her teeth.

"Fuck off," she said through her clenched jaw. She could do whatever she wanted and if that included biting her lip, then she was going to.

"You have a rule about harming yourself. You aren't allowed to do it and that means no biting on your lip. I don't want you to bite down so hard that you bite through your lip," Leo said. "I don't want you to have to get stitches."

Deep down she loved that he was being strict about herrules but at the same time it was fueling her anger even more. She shouldn't be here.

"Fu-," she started to say but yelled as the paddle hit her bottom even harder. "Shit," she whispered.

She closed her eyes again and took several deep breaths. She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes and she didn't want to show them.

"Open those beautiful eyes," Leo commanded.

"No."

Several more swats came and she yelled out.

"Now," Leo's deep voice filled the room.

She opened her eyes and looked right at him, tears in her eyes. She was trying her hardest to keep them from spilling over.

Leo's face morphed into shock as he looked into her eyes before looking behind her. She didn't know what he was communicating to Oliver, but she had a feeling it was about her tears.

Hedda blinked several times and clenched her jaw. She wasn't going to cry. Not now and definitely not later. She had only woken up once from a nightmare and started to cry but that was right after she had killed Richard. After that, she had started to channel all of her emotions into anger.

That was the only way to survive in this world. People fed off of other people's weaknesses and she wasn't going to be a weak person.

Her brother had taught her better than that.

Leo looked back at her. "It's okay to cry," he gently said.

She glared at him. "Fuck no. I'm not weak."

Hedda wasn't and she wasn't about to be.

"There isn't anything wrong with crying, Heddy," Leo said. "There isn't anything wrong with leaning on someone. It isn't a weakness."

"Fuck you," she spat out. "I'm not weak. I don't cry."

Hedda couldn't remember a time when she leaned on someone to help her. Rogan had always told her not to rely on other people because they will just disappoint you.

She had been disappointed too many times in her life and she didn't want to do that again. She didn't want to feel that same feeling ever again.

"We're here for you to lean on us," Leo said. "We want to help you through all of this, but we can't if you won't talk to us."
