"I need to do this on my own," Hedda whispered.

"Okay, Sweets," papa said. "If you need us, call out."

Hedda nodded her head and got up from her seat. She was going to do this.

She walked towards her room to find the computer already pulled up like Daddy had said.

Hedda sat down at the desk and stared at the computer. Doubt filled her. Should she really call him? Maybe it wasn't such a good idea.

She took a deep breath in and let it out. She was going to call him.

Pulling up his contact, she pressed the call button and waited for him to pick up.

Was he going to pick up? Was he too busy?

"Hedda," Rogan said as he filled the screen. "Is everything okay? Oliver and Leo taking good care of you?"

"Yes, Rogan," she said. "They are taking good care of me."

He let out a sigh. She looked at Rogan. She could see the bags starting to form under his eyes. What was keeping him up and making him exhausted?

"Are you okay?" Hedda asked. "You look tired."

"I'm fine Hedda," Rogan said. "I'm okay."

She didn't believe him one bit. Something was going on.

"What's going on?" Hedda asked.

"Nothing is going on. Everything is fine," Rogan said.

"Bullshit."

"It's business related. Nothing for you to worry about. I promise."

Hedda let out a sigh. He wasn't going to tell her. He never told her about anything business related.

"Can we talk about something?" Rogan asked.

"Yes?"

What could he possibly want to talk about?

"I wanted to talk to you about the past several months since the incident," Rogan said. "The incident that happened in Miles' office."

"Me killing Richard?"

"Yes."

What did he want to know about that? What could he possibly want to talk about?

He had never mentioned anything about that time.

"I always taught you how to shoot to be ready for anything. But I didn't actually think you were going to have to use it," Rogan said. "I never wanted for you to actually use it. I thought someone would always be with you, so you didn't have to."

Hedda didn't know how to respond to that.

"I didn't know how to act around you after you killed him," Rogan said and Hedda's heart stopped.
