Oliver took a deep breath. He didn't want Hedda, his Princess, to see him arguing with her brother. It would make her stressed out and that was something he wanted to avoid.
"Fuck," Oliver said. "Get out of my face."
Rogan took a step back and glared at Oliver.
"As I was going to fucking say," Rogan said. "We'll try and get along in front of Hedda. If we have any fucking problem, we do it away from Hedda."
"Of fucking course, we will," Oliver growled. "Who do you think we fucking are?"
"I don't fucking know. Low lives?"
Oliver growled again and took a step forward. He had no clue how they were going to ever get along.
"Shut up," Leo said. "Both of you."
Rogan opened his mouth, but Leo quickly spoke again.
"No! If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't fucking say it. Hedda could come out any second and we don't want her to see that."
Oliver took a breath in and tried to calm himself down.He needed to remember that Hedda was close by. Could she hear them?
"We're going to act like friends in front of Hedda. If we have any disagreement, it'll be in private where Hedda won't hear or even walk in on," Leo said. "Is that clear?"
Oliver nodded his head.
"Yes," Rogan said. "We're good here?"
"Yeah," Leo replied.
Before either one of them could say anything, Rogan walked off towards the house.
Oliver relaxed the further away he got.
"What the fuck was that?" Leo asked.
"He gets on my nerves," Oliver replied. "He's a spoiled little prince who needs to be put in his place.”
"He's the fucking head of the Ricci Crime Family. We don't need him as an enemy. Especially when we're in love with his sister!"
Oliver ran his hands over his face. "Fuck. I'm sorry, okay? I just couldn't help myself. He acted like we are dumb as fuck when we aren't."
Leo let out a sigh. Oliver felt bad. It was one of his rare moments where his mouth got the better of him.
"How are we ever going to get along with him?" Oliver asked. "He's an asshole."
"It's going to be hard, but we're going to do it. Hedda loves him and we have to try. For her," Leo replied.
Oliver nodded his head. Hedda did love Rogan and he didn't know why. He was a rude person, an asshole. What did she see in him?
He didn't know what. But he did know what it was like tohave a sibling. Someone to love and cherish. He would do anything for Leo. They had the sibling bond stronger than anything.
But Oliver knew that not every sibling was that way. Hedda had shown some signs that her bond with Rogan might have been that way. Maybe before she had killed Richard it was different. Oliver didn't know and hadn't seen her interact with him before.
"We're going to prove to Rogan that we deserve her," Oliver said, looking over at Leo.
"We will," Leo replied. "Don't worry, we will."
It was going to take a lot for them to prove that to Rogan. It wasn't going to be easy, but they were going to do it.
