"No," she whispered. "No."

Hedda blinked several more times, but Richard never left.

"No," her voice was louder this time, but it sounded so broken.

Arms wrapped around her and a scream filled the air.

"You're okay," Oliver whispered in her ear.

He maneuvered her body, so her face was in his chest. She pushed against his chest, trying to look and see if Richard was still there.

"No," he said. "You're going to keep your head in my chest until we get to the car."

Hedda started to panic. She couldn't see Richard. What if he was coming for them? Oliver and Leo didn't know what he looked like. They didn't know anything.

"No," she whispered.

It wasn't possible. He couldn't have been there.

"He's dead," she whispered. "He's dead."

Oliver held onto her even tighter. Her right arm made its way up and she started to claw at her neck.

This wasn't happening. He wasn't here. There was no way he was actually here.

"He's dead," she whispered again. "How can it be?"

"No, Princess," Oliver said as he grabbed hold of her arm.

A whimper escaped her lips and she clutched onto hishands. There was no way Richard was actually there, but she had seen him.

Hedda had blinked and rubbed her eyes. If she was imagining it, he would’ve disappeared.

But he didn't.

She heard the car door opening and Oliver getting in. The whole time he kept a tight hold on her.

"You're okay," he whispered. "You're safe now."

She didn't feel safe at all. There was nothing safe about this. Richard was out there which meant some of his men must be as well.

"Everything okay?" Leo asked.

Hedda turned her head, still breathing heavily and made eye contact with Leo. He gave her a small smile as he sat in the driver seat.

"Just trying to calm her down," Oliver said.

He placed her hand on his chest where his heart was beating. He could feel the strong steady heartbeat.

"Just focus on my heart beat," Oliver said. "Focus and calm down."

Hedda tried to focus on that as Leo started to drive.

"He's dead," she whispered, her voice sounding so broken. "How can he be alive?"

She still couldn't wrap her head around it. Was she asleep?

"Wake me up," she begged as she looked at Oliver. "Wake me up."
