Both of them walked in silence down the hallway and to the kitchen.
"How long do you think she's been asleep?" Leo asked.
Oliver brought up his phone and pulled the camera feed up. They had cameras in the hallway and any entrance just in case someone was to come into the house. No one could, but they wanted to be safe rather than sorry.
"It looks like two hours, almost three," Oliver responded as he watched Hedda walk into the room on the video.
"Has she had any nightmares?" Leo asked.
He sped up the video and watched the couple seconds it took.
"No," he replied. "She hasn't really moved positions either."
Leo leaned up against the kitchen counter and Oliverplaced his phone down. Some relief flooded Oliver that Hedda was getting some good sleep right now. The girl needed the rest.
He knew how hard it was to want to sleep when nightmares plagued you. It wasn't fun and he wouldn't wish nightmares on anyone.
Leo let out a sigh of relief. "I’m fucking glad she's finally sleeping. I thought we were going to have to give her medicine or something. Which I didn't want to do because Michael said she was against it."
Oliver had wondered about that. Why didn't she want to take medicine? He had done it at one point and he hadn't had any nightmares. It was like he went to bed and woke up a second later.
But then he thought back to when he tied her up and suspended her in the air.
"She wouldn't have had control," Oliver said. "It would've made her 'weak'"
Oliver hated that Hedda thought she was weak. She was anything but that and they were going to prove it to her.
"She's not fucking weak," Leo growled. "Why can't she just fucking see it?"
"She will. In time," he replied.
They were slowly getting to her by showing they cared about her and weren't going anywhere. Oliver didn't know if she realized it or not, but her defenses were starting to crack and soon she was going to crumble.
But he and Leo were going to be there to catch her and put her back together.
"What are we going to do about Rogan?" Leo asked. "Should we tell Hedda and ask her what she wants?"
Oliver thought about it for a second. He knew for sure they weren't going to give up Hedda. It wasn't up for discussion.
"Maybe we could just send a picture of her sleeping in the bed right now to Rogan. The one you just took should be fine and then he can see that she's okay," Leo said, almost as if he wasn't paying attention to what he just said.
He looked at Leo with his eyebrow raised. "We could but Rogan might not like it or think that we've drugged her. Rogan is possessive as fuck and I don't think he would appreciate that."
"Shit. I completely forgot about that. What was I thinking?"
"You obviously weren't." He couldn't help himself.
"Oh shut it," he growled. "I'm exhausted and not thinking. It's been a long day."
Oliver chuckled and leaned up against the other kitchen counter. He loved giving his brother shit.
"Maybe we can have her text Storm or call Storm," Leo said.
"Rogan won't like that," Oliver replied.
How would it look if they let Hedda call Storm but not her brother? Not good. They didn't want to get on the wrong side of Rogan.
"We need Rogan to like us, not hate us," Oliver said. "Maybe we should just let her call her brother. No matter what happens, we're going to fight for her."
