She shook her head. She absolutely hated needles.

"Then I would pick coming down with us to eat," he said. "You can be mad all you want, but at the end of the day think about what you don't like more. Do you want a needle in your arm or do you want to eat three meals a day and avoid it?"

Hedda closed her eyes. There was so much to decide on and she found herself channeling her frustration into anger. If they weren't here, she wouldn't have to make this decision. Everything came back to them and when they took her from Michael and Monroe's house.

Why did they have to do that?

"Thirty seconds," Oliver said.

She glared at him as he reminded her of how much time she had left to decide. She didn't like being on a time constraint. It made her pick without really weighing her options. What if she picked the wrong one?

Hedda had thought about not picking one, but she knew that Oliver would deliver on his promise.

"Okay," she whispered.

"What was that?" Oliver asked.

"You heard her," Leo said.

"And I want her to say it louder. I need to hear it properly, so we don't make any mistakes."

She closed her eyes for a second. She knew where Oliver was coming from, and she knew she should've spoken up the first time, but she was so unsure.

"Okay," she said as she looked at Oliver. "I'll eat."

He gave her a smile and held out his hand. She looked at his hand for several seconds. She didn't want to grab it because she loved skin to skin contact and would get attached to them. Before she could do anything, Oliver grabbed her hand.

"Let's go eat," he said as he started to guide her out of the room.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

SIXTEEN

Oliver and Leo walked into the room she had been staying in. She had fully been with them for two days so far and each time she went to sleep, she always woke up from the nightmares. They only seemed to be getting worse and worse with each one.

Hedda had tried several times to stay awake, but her body was absolutely exhausted and eventually won. She had begged one time to not take a nap and that she didn't want to have nightmares. Leo had told her she needed the sleep and they would be here for her if she did have a nightmare.

It was a moment of weakness and she regretted it ever since.

She shouldn't have begged them to not let her take a nap. It showed just how weak she was at that moment. When she had woken up from the nightmare, she didn't look at either one of them as they tried to calm her down.

"Heddy?" Leo softly said. "Can we have your attention?"

She rolled her eyes and sighed, looking at them.

"That's a mark in your book," Oliver said. "You know better than to roll your eyes at us."

She clenched her teeth together at the mention of that book. Whenever they couldn't give her a punishment right away, her punishment was written in that damn book and given later. She had tried to find the book to get rid of it, but she was unsuccessful.

"We're headed to the wedding right now," Leo said. "You're more than welcome to come with us. Sofia and Jaxson would love to have you there."

She had never met them in her life and they had invited her to their wedding. She didn't know why or understand.

"We would love for you to come," Leo said. "I think it would be good for you to get out of the house for a little bit."

Out of the house with them near her. She knew if she went with them, she wouldn't be left alone. Hedda also didn't want to be out in the public. She still didn't feel safe and some of Richard's men could still be after her.

Hedda shook her head and looked down at the ground. "I don't want to go."
