"I bet he has a reason for it," Papa said. "He'll tell you when he's ready."

"I wouldn't push him about it though," Daddy said. "Let him come to you on his own time. You don't know the circumstances."

Hedda sighed. "I guess."

"No, ‘I guess’. Don't push him to tell you. He'll come and tell you when he's ready."

"Okay," she whispered.

It sucked waiting. She didn't want to wait to find out who this mysterious person was.

Hedda got up from her chair and walked towards Papaand Daddy. Wrapping her arms around both of them, she leaned in.

"I love you," she said.

"I love you, too."

"I love you."

EPILOGUE

HEDDA

Tonight they were hanging out at the club. But it was different from all the other nights. Tonight Papa and Daddy were off and going to spend it with her.

Normally Hedda came with Papa and Daddy to the club while they had to work. She either hung out with the other Littles or she talked to Dominic, Lucas, or Pete.

They were the bouncers of the club but total sweethearts. Or she liked to tease them that they were.

All three of them were Daddies. But what else did she expect? Most people who came to the club were either a Daddy, Mommy, Little or Middle. Or at least from what she could tell.

Hedda had no doubt she was forgetting something or didn't see something.

"Do you want to go downstairs?" Daddy asked. "To the main room?"

Hedda was currently sitting in his office while he finished up some work. Daddy hadn't given her theoption to stay down there when they first got here. He had taken her up to his office right away.

It was weird, especially when Papa stayed down there.

What was going on? Why did he stay down there? Why couldn't she stay down there?

And now Daddy was asking her if she wanted to go to the main room. Something was up but she didn't know what.

"Sure?" Hedda responded. "Is Papa going to be there?"

Daddy got up from his seat and walked over towards her.

"He is," Daddy said. "Let's go to him."

She grabbed his outstretched hand and let him lead her towards the main room.

A gasp fell from her mouth as she stepped into the room. Maroon and navy blue streamers filled the room.

It was so beautiful.
