She climbed onto the bed, settling in the middle.

"Sleep with me?" She whispered.

She wanted to be surrounded by their scent.

"Of course," Papa said.

Both of them quickly got undressed and climbed into bed on either side of her.

"Good night, Princess," Daddy said as he kissed her forehead.

"Night Sweets," Papa said.

"Night."

CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE

HEDDA

She felt her skin soak in the sun. Papa, Daddy, and Hedda were outside just hanging out. She hadn't wanted to, but Papa insisted. Said she needed to get outside and have some fresh air.

"Papa?" She called his name.

"Yes, Sweets?"

She absolutely loved it when he called her Sweets. It was his own unique nickname for her.

Hedda had an amazing sleep last night in between them. It was cramped on the bed, but they made do.

She had woken up from a nightmare, but Papa and Daddy quickly helped her calm down and fall back asleep.

Rogan hadn't caught her sleeping in bed with them. She didn't know what he would do, but she didn't want to find out.

But part of her thought he may already know. Did he really expect her to stay away from them after all this time?

"Just wanted to make sure you were still here," she gently said.

Hedda turned around and gave him a smile. She had called out their names several times to see if they were still here.

She couldn't help herself. It still felt like a dream that they were here with her.

"We're still here," Daddy said. "We're not going anywhere."

Hedda nodded her head and relaxed back on the grass. She was currently laying on the ground, just soaking up the sun.

It felt amazing and she knew she was safe. Papa and Daddy were keeping a watch over everything.

Like they always did.

How did she get so lucky with them? What did she do to deserve them?

Nothing.

She did nothing good to deserve Papa and Daddy. They were miracles and she wasn't going to let them go.

A couple months ago she would have. But she didn't know any better. She thought it was better for them not to have her because she didn't deserve them. But they had proved her wrong. So many times. And Hedda was happy about that. She loved that they continued to stay by her side.

What would she do without them? Hedda didn't know. She wouldn't survive the world or herself.
