He had asked a couple of times to go inside her house or take care of her in there, but she always turned him down. Finn didn't know if she was embarrassed because it was messy or if she was hiding something. He didn't want to just barge into her house with her in his arms and break her trust when she got better.

Finn jogged back to his car and got his extra hoodie from the back. He always had a hoodie in his car in case of emergencies, and right now, he was grateful for that.

He helped get it on Charlotte, so she wasn't as cold while he tried to get her to allow him to go into her house.

"Charlotte, can you tell me how long you've been out here for?" he asked again.

She shrugged her shoulders. Finn wondered if she even knew how long she’d been out here for.

“Did you come out after you called me?” he asked.

She nodded her head, and Finn cursed under his breath. She had been out here for over fifteen minutes in nothing but his sweats and shirt.

From her voice on the call, he knew she was getting sick, and this no doubt made it worse. Finn didn't like that she was getting sick, but he also couldn't help but feel a little joyed by it. She would be needy, most littles were, and he couldn't wait.

Finn had wanted her to rely on him more, but he could understand that it had only been over a week since they formally agreed for him to be her Daddy. She was still getting used to it, and he didn't want to rush her into anything and make her regret it.

"Come on, let's get you inside." Finn went to pick her up.

Charlotte whimpered and shook her head. He let out a sigh but nodded his head.

"Can you tell me what's wrong? Why did you call me?" he asked.

She leaned her head against the railing again and closed her eyes.

"No, don't close your eyes. I need you to stay awake for me." Finn picked her up.

She whined but stilled in his arms as he started to rock back and forth. He knew she didn't feel well, but he needed to know why she called him. He didn't know what was wrong besides the fact that she didn't feel good. Was that all, or was there something else?

"Charlotte, I need you to tell me," Finn said, his voice not asking but telling her.

She buried her head into his shoulder, and Finn started to worry.

"Charlotte."

"It's nothing. I just don't feel good," she mumbled against his chest.

Finn knew she was lying, and he was going to figure out the truth.

"It's not nothing. There's something else you aren't telling me," Finn said.

Charlotte started to shake in his hold, and for a second, he thought she was cold, but then he heard the sniffles. She was crying.

"Oh, little one, what's wrong?" he asked. "You can tell Daddy anything."

She shook her head and continued to cry in his arms. He hated not knowing what was bothering her. Finn wanted to make everything alright. He didn't want her to be sad, and yet she was.

"Little cupcake, tell Daddy what's wrong." He gently rubbed her back. "Daddy needs to know so he can make it better."

Charlotte continued to sniffle but pulled away from him.

"I lied," she wailed in his arms.

He stared at her in shock. What could she have lied to him about? Finn wracked his brain to try and figure out what she could be talking about.

"What did you lie about?" His voice was calm.

He didn't want to spook her, so he tried to keep his voice calm. She was sick, didn't feel well, probably scared, and he didn't want to add on to it.
