“I’m Sunny, diplomat of the Moonscale Dragons.”
“I’m Nycto of the Wildlings and Izora’s mate!” I snapped back at the unseen dragon.
The other dragon made a weird oooooooooo sound over the phone and Izora picked it back up. I tried to grab it from him ready to tell the alien townie a thing or two, but Izora batted away my hands.
“Yes,” Izora said. “Teddy push Sunny out into the hall until he remembers he’s a diplomat in more than name while we’re on Starscale 1. Yes, I’ll wait. Thank you.”
“Sunny sounds like an ass weasel,” I muttered under my breath.
“Only sometimes,” Izora said. “He’s young-ish and his wasn’t an unusual reaction to a friend finding their true-mate.”
He wrapped his arm around my middle and pulled me in close. I kissed his cheek and wrapped my hand around his dick again to mark my territory.
“Give me a second, mate,” Izora laughed as his eyes flooded with pleasure.
Chapter Three
Izora
“Izora?” It was Castor’s voice that flooded over the other line, not Teddy’s.
“I’m fine, Cas,” I said before he could ask too many questions.
“Sunny’s whooping and hooting about you meeting your true-mate.”
“Affirmative,” I nodded, struggling to keep my voice level because Nycto still hadn’t let go of my dick as he if held onto it for safe keeping.
“Who have you responded to? Someone who was out there for the mushies?” Castor asked, his voice growing deep with concern.
I let out a long breath, wishing there had been room for a therapist aboard the Medwin 2 when we left Earthide. The captain and his cousin both needed one, but this wasn’t the time to bring that up again.
“His name is Nycto,” I smiled, because I couldn’t say his name without doing so. “He’s a wildling.”
“Oh!” Castor said.
“We’re not taking questions about that at this time, captain,” I said before he could get there.
Nycto tightened his fist around me and ran it the length of my dick. I bit my lip to keep from moaning. A second later a smoke ring drifted out of my nose showing that my dragon was just as hot under the collar as I was. Well, would’ve been if I wasn’t scale ass naked.
“I understand. We’ll have to discuss it at some point,” he said.
“And why is that?” I asked, already feeling protective of Nycto’s privacy. “If a dragon moves to the middle of nowhere to be left alone, shouldn’t that just happen?”
Castor let out a long, slow sigh. He wasn’t happy with the turn of events, but he’d have to live with it. If Nycto wanted to answer questions, he would, but I wasn’t about to turn my mate into someone’s social studies research project.
“Are you going to come back?” Castor asked. “Not right this second, but eventually?”
“I will. I’ll be back to check on the egg and the baby,” I nodded.
“Yours?” Nycto mouth at me and I shook my head.
“Thank you, Izora. Don’t scare us like that again.”
“Apologies for the missed calls, captain, but my phone will be off for the foreseeable future. I’ll be available for medical emergencies over the flight link.”
Castor was silent for a long second. He wasn’t usually an unreasonable man but having a new baby to watch over left him a bit sleep deprived and a lot worried. His mood would level out in a few months when Baby Caxlin started to sleep through the night.
“No need for apologies, Iz,” Castor sighed, dropping his captain’s voice for his regular one. “Are you and Nycto somewhere safe?”
