Perhaps he was right. Maybe he was wrong. I didn’t know for certain. It wasn’t something I saw a lot of on Earthside, but I didn’t need science to tell me he was fucking beautiful and mine. I licked around those scales clustered together on his skin. He tasted like metal and rain and with each lick of him my dragon breathed harder sucking in his scent. My inner beast couldn’t get enough of him. Hell, I wanted more, and he was right there waiting for me to have my way with him.

I kissed up his spine and back down it. Then I moved down his skin again. This time I traced around the scales with the tip of my tongue. Nycto let out a long, happy sigh. His muscles relaxed and he rested his forehead on his hands as my attention turned to the glistening pool of arousal awaiting my affection. I kissed over his ass cheeks, each one in turn. He pushed back against my mouth, wanting and needing more. I bit him and he hissed, pressing back harder. His nails dug into the smooth, shiny stone of the slide and he murmured under his breath about making me polish it flat later. If that was the price of tasting my mate, I’d gladly pay it.

Sinking lower on my knees, I licked around his omegahole, lapping up his sweet arousal. He ground back against me, pushing himself around my face until my tongue licked where he desired my affections the most. I held onto his well-muscled hips to hold him in place so that I could attempt to concentrate. I licked down to his balls, teasing the textured skin of his scrotum before licking back up to find he’d dribbled out more slickness. I swallowed a groan. He was so fucking slick. Slick enough that my hard again dick could slide into him, but I wanted to make himcum first. There was something we needed to talk about before we went all the way, only I couldn’t remember what it was. My dragon wasn’t any help at all on that front. He only urged me forward, craving the claiming vows that would connect him with the dragon inside Nycto.

I lost myself again. This time to his pleasure. He ground and squirmed while murmuring words in a language I didn’t quite know all the words to. His nails found the slide again and again. I reached between his thighs, sliding my arm past his ropey muscles, until I had his hard dick firmly in my grasp. He groaned and then roared as I squeezed him tight before starting to stroke his hard dick.

He slammed his palms against the slide as thunder cracked over our heads outside. We both glanced up at the trapdoor, hoping it wouldn’t break and allow the rain in on our heads. Mercifully, it held. Even if it had broken, neither of us were in a state to do much about it and I didn’t think Waj was very good with humanoid tools.

Nycto shuddered under my mouth as I lapped up more of his seemingly endless arousal. The lights over our heads flickered. Most of the houses on Starscale 1 used crystal magic in place of electricity. Later, I’d ask him about the flickering, but my mouth and tongue were too busy driving him crazy to stop and bother with that just now. He came hard and fast, making a mess in my hand. The thunder cracked over our heads again, but it didn’t matter. Nothing outside the house mattered. Fuck. It might not ever matter again.

Nycto rested his forehead against the shiny stone of the slide and panted out his post-orgasm pleasure. I leaned over him and kissed up and down the back of his neck, eager to stay in contact with him and to draw out this moment into our own private eternity. I wrapped my arms around him and held him close. My hard dick pressed against him, but I wasn’t in any hurry.

“He’s – he’s pretty happy now,” Nycto laughed.

The sound came out in breathy pants and I kissed the back of his neck again. Something round and cool bumped against my knee and I startled, only to see Waj rolling apples across the floor as if he were our master and we his humping pet humans. Nycto groped around blindly without raising his head until his fingers found one of the purple Starscale apples. They called them purple, but if you asked me, they were more maroon than purple, as if even moving across the galaxy couldn’t rob them of their natural red pigments.

“Eat,” Nycto grunted before biting into one of the apples.

I wasn’t hungry yet, but fruit was a decent form of hydration. So, I followed my mate’s lead and ate one of the apples the otter-dog rolled into the entryway.

“What is he?” I asked between bites.

“Waj,” Nycto shrugged.

“That’s what you call him, but what species is he?” I asked.

“A dotter.”

“Tell me that’s not because he’s a cross between a dog and an otter,” I laughed, leaning down to lick up a drop of apple juice that landed on his back.

“He’s not,” Nycto shook his head. “Something like that would’ve had to happen a long time ago. His parents were both dotters too. He was the runt. I saved him when a duck tried to eat him. He’s mine now. Well, he thinks I’m his.”

“He is feeding us,” I laughed.

“He likes to share his food and he hates to be left out.”

“Well, this is a dance for two – two dragons at that.”

“Oh! He knows this dance! He goes off every winter and makes his rounds of making little dotters. Then he comes home when he wants to,” Nycto shrugged. “I don’t own him like you make it sound.”

“Well, most people keep their pets at home.”

“Do I really act like most people to you?” he asked, glancing at me over his shoulder.

“No, you don’t, mate,” I conceded.

He twisted around so that he was out from under me and sitting on the edge of the slide. I sank onto my ass and grabbed another apple to hand him. He took it with a smile and bit into it, flashing me white fangs. I hadn’t seen other Starscales with those while in human form, but didn’t ask if it were a wildling thing. It didn’t matter if it was or not, because it was a Nycto thing and there was not anything about him I didn’t like.

“Why did you run in such small places when we played chase?” he asked, leaning back against the slide to rest.

“Because I couldn’t smell you and thought you wanted to eat me and Waj,” I laughed.

“You thought I was going to eat you and you still grabbed him up to save him?” Nycto smirked.

“Well, yeah. We had a moment out there. I didn’t want him to be your dinner.”

“Even the wilds don’t eat dotters. Some of them make friends with them. They’re kind and generous unless you piss them off. They’ll bring fish and stuff to nesting mates while they keep the eggs sat on. They’re also good for getting bugs out from under scales too. They have these really long claws when they want to.”
