Me:Not sure, I doubt Drake will want to stay long.
Remy: I heard Ryder was in town. Is Drake mad?
I laughed as I saw Remy pop into our group chat we had for the three of us.
Me: He’s getting pissed. Hopefully, Ryder will only do one race.
Remy: Let’s hope so. Blaze is on his way to the bar.
Ivy:How about we plan lunch one day this week? Just us girls? Remy, we can start planning your bachelorette party!
Me:Sounds perfect! I will call you.
I spotted Ivy in the crowd and smiled as I put my phone away. I hated sometimes how we didn’t get to hang out as much time together as we used to. But, with work and spending time with our Raven Boys, we always found time to hang out.
Just as I found myself getting lost in my thoughts, the roar of an engine and screeching tires brought me back to reality. A gush of wind blew through my hair as two cars sped past me; both racers anxious to cross the finish line first. Everyone around us erupted in screams and hollers as they cheered on the race. Even though Drake hated the illegal aspects of the races, I still knew a part of him loved the thrill of watching two fast cars or bikes race downthe back of his bar. It was exhilarating to watch and by the slight smirk crossing his lips, I knew that Drake was feeling the same hype as everyone else around him. I also knew he was proud of his brother and only allowed the races because of that.
Chapter 2
Drake
The next morning, Ryder was in good spirits after winning a ton of cash at his races. I wish I could tell him to stop, but honestly, his races brought in customers and all the guys seemed to love watching them. Plus, he donated every penny he earned to local charities. Ryder didn’t need that money. He was making a handsome living in the racing world. It was good for business, so I couldn’t complain...that much. Since Ryder was in such a good mood, and was just hanging around the bar, I put his ass to work.
“For the last fucking time, you have to stock the beer with the labels facing forward,” I practically yelled.
Ryder was on a two-week vacation from his current racing tour, so he was in town and helping me get the bar stocked for the night. As I rubbed the bridge of my nose in frustration, I tried to keep my calm. I loved my brother, but he had a tendency to not pay attention to what I said.
“Chill, Drake,” Ryder laughed.
“I like everything in a particular order,” I growled out. I began rearranging the bottles, so that the labels were facing the opening of the chilled case. When it got busy in the Twisted Kingdom Clubhouse, our bikers didn’t like to wait for their beers. I stayed busy because I had good service and we were a family. In our club, blood didn’t determine family. Loyalty did.
“These guys aren’t going anywhere else. Who cares how the bottles are placed, as long as they get their drinks?” Ryder asked.
He already knew the answer to that question, but he loved to mess with me. Yes, I knew the guys wouldn’t dare to go to another motorcycle bar, but that didn’t matter. They deserved quality and respect, and that was what I intended to give them. My dad and grandfather would roll over in their graves if they knew I wasn’t following their routines.
“Maybe you forgot the rules around here little brother, but those of us who aren’t celebrities, have to work hard,” I said gruffly.
We continued working on stocking the bar and cleaning off the tables. Ryder kept checking the time on his phone, and I knew he had another race setup tonight. He was probably getting the drivers lined up. Finally, once everything was settled, Ryder took off out the back, and I made my way up to my apartment.
There, lying sprawled out on the couch with her long, beautiful hair falling over her shoulders like waves, was Ivy.
As I silently closed the door, I took a moment to really take her in. She was sexy, curvy, and incredibly beautiful. There was something about her that captured my heart the moment I saw her. I hated how much she affected me in the beginning. I wasn’t looking to give my heart away, but damn, if she didn’t steal it, anyway. She was so insistent, watching me and luring me in like a predator watches its prey. Little did she know; she didn’t have to chase after me. I was lost to her the moment she walked through the Twisted Kingdom Clubhouse door one year ago…

It was another wild and busy night at the bar. I was behind the bar filling drink orders in rapid speed. Axel was just fucking around like always, laughing and hanging out with the other guys from the club. Lots of women make their way into our elusive club. The idea of bikers seems to draw in women from every walk of life. Sure, I had enjoyed my fair share of them, but I liked to enjoy my fun in the darkness of the night and then say goodbye once the sun came up.
Maybe it made me an asshole, but I didn’t care. After watching my dad grieve over the loss of my mother, I never wanted to feel that kind of pain. Losing my mom just about killed me. I couldn’t imagine how he felt losing his soul mate. So, I built up a wall and kept myself busy with the bar and watching after my brothers. And, trust me. They were fuck-ups who needed constant watching over.
Anyway, I wasn’t expecting what came next. Something in the air changed that night. It was like there was this friction buzzing through the air, louder than the music thumping through the speakers. More boisterous than the laughter and chatter of the men and women talking all around me. I felt this magnetic pull to the front entrance and that’s when it happened. That’s when I lost all control over my heart and soul.
This feisty, incredibly sexy woman was standing with a terrified-looking friend. It was Lacy and her smile was contagious. Her eyes lit up as she looked all around the bar, and I couldn’t take my eyes away from her.
She sashed through the bar, all eyes watching her hips sway as she moved, but she didn’t pay them any attention. Lacy strutted over to the bar with an air of confidence surrounding her. She brushed her long, strawberry-red hair behind her shoulder as she announced her order. Her tight jeans and even tighter hot pink tank top accentuated her curves perfectly. No, this heavenly creature had her eyes locked on me. The tattooed, bearded, and brooding guy at the bar. Most women looked at me and saw one thing; a good fuck. But with Ivy, it’s like she saw something else inside of me with just one look. I can’t explain it. Honestly, it was indescribable.
As she made her way to the bar, I tried to keep myself busy by wiping down the counter. Her friend was basically being dragged behind her, and now that I know Ivy, it’s still funny.
“Get your ass over here,” Lacy yelled, as she patted the empty barstool next to hers.
