Page 71 of Last Round

I glance around. Things are pretty slow with the present crowd. People don’t drink much while playing and want to save the table space for their cards. Standing off to the side of the room, I shoot off a reply.

Me: Maybe, it depends.

Killian: On?

Me: What are you wearing?

It only takes a second for him to respond with a shirtless selfie.

Me: That’s pretty tempting.

Killian follows up with another picture. This time it cuts off just as the rainbow reaches the base of his cock. I zoom in on the image as I notice something new.

Me: Is that a new piercing?

Killian: You like it?

It’s a small barbell at the juncture of his pelvis at the top of his shaft.

Me: Does it hurt?

Killian: It did, but it’s already feeling better.

Me: Are you sure you want me to come over? Can you even still… you know?

Killian: Come and find out.

“Just because your brother is the manager, it doesn’t mean you can slack off.” Jessica stands in front of me with her arms crossed.

I glance around the bar to where the patrons are all still very much focused on their bingo. “Everyone seems fine to me.”

She huffs out in annoyance. “There is a lot of other work that can be done. If you’ve got time to lean, you’ve got time to clean.”

“You’re joking, right?”

“What do you think?”

“I want to sayno…” With her artificial lips, I seriously can’t tell. She always has this puckered expression like someone just farted.

“Look, Sean asked me to help out because Killian practically ran this place into the ground with all his partying and fucking off.”

My fists clench. “That’s not true.”

Jessica rolls her eyes. “Oh, please. I get you have a stupid crush on him, but not even you can be that blind. The guy used this place as his personal playground to stalk his prey. It’s why Sean had to make him step down. If he hadn’t, K.O.’s would be bankrupt or closed down for a60 Minutesspecial.”

“What are you even talking about?” I know for a fact the bar isn’t in any sort of financial trouble. Killian mentioned the gym is on shaky ground. Which is why, as much as I hate it, they need Tony. But the bar is not an issue.

“The panty board.”

“Killian took that down.”

“Only because Sean told him to.”

“No…” I stop myself. Saying he was pissed and drunk doesn’t sound great either.

“You’re just a waitress. This is all above your paygrade.”

“And you’re what? Fucking the owner?”Oops. That one slipped out.
