“That one,” he said nodding to the large, three paneled screen of Pac Man.
“Pac Man, really? That’s what you’re going with?” I asked, surprised he would have gone for the digital version and not the vintage cabinet a few rows over.
“What’s—”
I shot him a glance, reminding him there was no apologies here.
“Yes, thatismy choice,” he said, like a petulant teenager.
His tone was so perfectlybratty,I had to put my fist in my damn mouth just to still the twitch in my palm, the overwhelming desire to bend him over the player console and smack the attitude right out of him.
I bet he’d like it too.
“All right then,” I said as I scanned my QR code for credit, and he took his stance.
“I’m going to get us some drinks,” I said as he used the touch pad to make the little yellow guy chomp his way through the little blinking circles.
I watched the faint muscles in his forearm tighten as he tapped the buttons with precision and quickness.
“Sounds good,” he said, flashing a smile as he focused on the screen.
CHAPTER 10
Eric
This seemsto be a pattern with us.
Riley fist bumped the air as he grinned widely. After two rounds of drinks, and more than enough games of Pac Man, I’d finally settled on my choice of challenge for the night.
Air Hockey.
“I’m starting to think you are just a sore loser,” Riley chuckled.
I shot him a glare as I queued up my code for the scan credit.
“I’ve never been a fan of Pac Man, to tell you the truth. I’m much more of a Galaga guy.”
Riley smirked as he took his stance on the end of the table, the whizzing of the air from the puck spout pulling my attention.
“Are you even old enough to know Galaga?” he taunted, but the words carried a hint of insecurity.
“I’m old enough to kick your ass and make you beg for mercy,” I said, slamming the puck down on the plastic field. I took my spot.
“I’d like to see you try,” Riley said with a grin.
It was a blur of neon, a symphony of air and crashing goals as we both steadily kept up our defense.
Slam!
The sound of the puck and the loud buzzer sounded as my goal was scored.
“Yes!” I bit out. “I’m coming for you, baby,” I said, a grin spreading on my face.
Riley only hunkered down more, his frame like a monster, his gaze hungry towin.
“Beginner’s luck” he said, licking his lips.
The sight caused my cock to twitch as he slammed the puck down once more, whipping it toward me, directly into my goal.
