I might just take a few home with me.

I found his joined bathroom and pulled off my shirt, and soaked it in water with a bit of soap. Hoping that I would be able to get out the stained marks.

My lips curved into a smile when I picked up the shirt, he gave me and noticed it was a Fall out Boy shirt. I expected it to be either a hockey shirt from his favorite team or from his own team.

I slipped it on and realized it was way too big for me. If it wasn’t for my denim shorts people would think I am just wearing a shirt that looks like an oversize dress on me. I completely forgot that he is almost as tall as a giant and strong as a horse.

CHAPTER FORTY-FIVE

I softly shut the door behind me unable to hide this obvious, insane smile on my face—wondering how I got myself into this. A girl who sets my soul on fire each time I am around her and now she is all alone in my room. I had to pat myself on the back for not wanting to touch her when that’s all I’ve been wanting to do since seeing her again.

She felt like a jerk for misjudging me and it should have stung, but surprisingly it didn’t. Somehow my feelings grew for her and I was starting to have a problem keeping my feelings concealed when I am around her.

“When are you planning on telling her?” I raised my head, my thoughts dissolving when my eyes fell on Clarissa standing opposite of me with her arms crossed in front of her chest.

Never was going to be my answer because it was hard reading Sasha. I started to convince myself that it was worth being her friend—I was at least somebody to her.

“Why does this concern you?” I asked.

“Maybe because you should be informed that time passes by and it never waits for anyone.” She started.

“And the whole team including yours can see that you are ass over heels in love with her.” She continued when I said nothing.

“Coming from someone who keeps her real identity a secret.” Clarissa’s eyes widened slightly.

I know we were a fling back in high school. I didn’t think about love back then when I dated her, it had more to do with satisfying my cravings and as an adult, I regret not being able to control the urges especially when I learned her secret.

It was a tough blow, but her truth explained so many things and I got why we were so incompatible.

She, at one stage, pushed me to pursue Sasha, but I was a wimp who wasn’t ready for yet another rejection. Especially from someone I truly admired and had strong feelings for.

“I don’t think they will accept me if I tell them.” She answered, lowering her eyes and lifting them again when the door opened behind me.

“Okay, so I didn’t touch a single piece of your incredible art, but I am not promising that anything is not stolen.” Sasha came out with her hands raised in the air.

I smiled when I noticed how huge my shirt was for her. She was about 5.7” and I was 6.3” She didn’t have a small frame like the rest of the members of her team. Sasha was in shape and built strong and she proved it on the field when she chased her opponents down to get to the ball.

“Are you even wearing shorts?” Clarissa asked, bringing my eyes to take in the curves of her legs.

“Duh,” Sasha rolled her eyes at Clarissa, lifting the shirt she was wearing to show her denim shorts which molded her perfectly shaped thighs. I was such a loser and wimp who could barely keep his eyes to himself.

“I’m just checking.” I caught Clarissa’s sly grin when she caught me checking Sasha out and excused hers.

Sasha just shook her head. “I honestly can’t picture you two together.” She muttered at least not picking up on what Clarissa meant.

“She’s her own weird self, but so are you.” She rolled her eyes at my remark, but I saw a small smile playing on the corner of her lips.

“Thank you,” She took it as a compliment as she should.

We made our way back down re-joining the party.

I went to get some snacks from the kitchen with Sasha joining me. She grabbed a set of bowls and helped me fill them up.

“Did we think about getting any form of real food or is this it?” She asked, gesturing to the snack bowls.

I stared at the bowls and shook my head.

“You forgot, didn’t you? All about getting drinks and snacks, eh?” She said with a smile in her voice and pulled out her phone.
