Jay’s still at work and has no idea I’m in town, considering I told him I’d be in tomorrow. So after I unpack a few boxes, I take a shower and drive over to MGD.
I lean against the side of my car in the parking lot, hands in my pockets with one foot crossed over the other, and watch as he exits the building with two other people. Lost in conversation, he doesn’t look in my direction right away. I can’t help the smile that forms on my face as I watch him. He glances up briefly, then does a double-take. The sun is bright, and he brings his hand up over his brow, squinting in my direction.
“Oh shit,” he exclaims before he jogs across the parking lot with a huge grin on his face.
As he gets closer, I stand up and brace for his large body to slam into me. He wraps his arms around my back, laughing as we embrace.
“You fucking sneaky ass. Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I wanted to surprise you.”
He pulls away just enough for us to be able to kiss, our lips coming together in a succession of quick pecks before I slide my tongue into his mouth, desperate to get a taste of him.
“God, I’m so glad you’re here. I almost can’t believe it.”
“I’m here,” I tell him, running a knuckle from his temple to his chin, capturing it between my fingers before I place another kiss on his lips. “Want to come to my place? We can order some dinner.”
“Sounds perfect. I’ll follow you.”
He moves to walk away but I grasp his hand and yank him back into me. “I’m not ready to let go yet.”

Later that night, after he’s helped me unpack some more boxes, and we’ve had our dinner, we sit together on the loveseat without a TV to watch since the cable isn’t connected yet.
“It started to feel like this was never gonna happen,” he says. “I can’t believe you live here now.”
“Me either, but it already feels like home.”
He gazes up at me, his head in my lap as his long legs drape over the side. “Tomorrow, my friends are coming over to my apartment for dinner and drinks. You have to come, meet them, woo them, make them love you.”
“And if they hate me?”
“They won’t. Not possible. But on the off chance that they do, it doesn’t matter. I like you.”
I run my hand over his head. “Then I’ll turn on my charm. Make sure they do.”
“Well, don’t be too charming. Four of them are gay. They may try to steal you from me.”
I chuckle. “Aren’t they in relationships with each other?”
“Yeah, but you’re definitelyleave my relationshipworthy.”
I shake my head. “It’s a good thing I only want you then.”
His lips part. “Okay,” he says, standing up and reaching for my hand. “I can’t restrain myself any longer. Let’s go to your room. I have some things I need to do.”
“Good thing I made sure to get the room as set up as possible,” I say as we make our way down the hall.
We’re not in the bedroom for more than fifteen seconds before we’re both ripping clothes off each other, falling into the bed mostly naked.
Our bodies lie side by side, facing each other as we kiss and touch. Jay moves quickly, pushing me onto my back as he kisses across my torso, dragging his tongue across the scars I got when I was a teenager—attacked for being who I was. And now I have him and he gives me nothing but pleasure.
His lips travel lower, and after he’s pulled my boxer-briefs down, his hand wraps around my erection and then I’m enveloped in his warm, wet mouth.
Jay moans as he tastes me, quickly bringing me to the precipice of bliss with his skilled hands and tongue.
“Wait,” I manage to get out between heavy breaths.
