With one hand on my head, he strokes himself until his eyes close and his mouth opens wide as he cries out. “Shit.”
Warm liquid hits my tongue and then I take his crown in my mouth and lick and suck until he’s given me every last drop.
When I stand up, there’s something in the way he looks at me that gives me pause. He’s studying me carefully, and whatever he’s thinking seems to be on the tip of his tongue, but he doesn’t say anything. I have a feeling it’s what I said. I said I love everything about him. It was very close to being I love you. He must know that loving everything about someone has to mean something.
“Sorry I dirtied you up after your shower.”
His lips pull up on one side. “No, you’re not.”
“True.”
And like that, we move past it. But I have a plan.

When I showup to his house on Saturday night, I’m dressed in a pair of black slacks and a white button up with a black and white striped tie. Since it’s winter, I’m also wearing a black overcoat.
He opens the door, looking handsome in his own pair of black pants, a gray sweater over a white collared shirt, and a black leather jacket.
I give him a slow once over. “Damn, Campbell. Lookin’ good. Got plans?”
He smirks. “You can change them,” he replies, reaching out and tugging me into him, kissing me like he hasn’t seen me in weeks.
“Don’t tempt me,” I say against his lips. “Trying to do this boyfriend thing right.”
I take his hand and escort him to the passenger side of my car, opening the door for him. He gives me a look like, really?
“Humor me.”
He rolls his eyes, but his smile lets me know he’s anything but annoyed. He gets in and I walk around to my side. It takes almost half an hour to get to the restaurant, but that’s mostly because the roads are covered in a fresh layer of snow. It stopped a little while ago, but the trucks haven’t had time to clear all the roads yet, and people are being cautious.
Downtown, where the restaurant is, buildings and businesses are lit up for Christmas. Lights twinkle in windows and on trees, and the snow really makes it look like a winter wonderland.
Once we get to the restaurant, we’re taken to our table immediately. It’s full of people, but we get seated in a corner that gives us a sense of privacy.
“Have you been here before?” I ask.
He shakes his head. “Nope. It’s really nice though.”
“Let’s hope the food is nice.”
The waiter arrives and takes our drink and appetizer order while we continue to look over the menu. Once we’ve decided on what we want and tell the waiter, I reach across the table and grab his hand.
“You look good enough to eat.”
His cheeks redden. “We could've stayed home.”
“But I want everyone to know you’re mine,” I say with a grin.
“Then I guess it’s okay.”
The waiter drops off our appetizer and drinks, and me and Trev talk about everything from football—both he and I are now starting every game and doing pretty damn good, to what everyone else is doing for Christmas break. Dex, Vi, Renzo, and Ronan are apparently taking a trip together, and Jay is going to visit his family.
“My mom’s thinking about moving,” I tell him.
“Why? I thought she just paid a good chunk on the mortgage.”
“She did, but now she’s thinking she wants to live closer to town so she’s closer to work. She complains about the commute, plus I think she’s hit this point where she no longer cares about salvaging memories. She needs a fresh start away from a place that was so toxic.
