“I’ll never get enough of this—of you.” He rose from between my legs and wiped his mouth clean of my juices, then slapped the side of my thigh. “You heard the boss man. Let’s go downstairs.”

I melted into my bed and refused to budge. My arms rested at my sides, unable to move for the time being as Max’s stinging imprint danced across my thigh. His slap reminded me of the pain I’d experienced by Luca’s belt, which reminded me of the conversation he tried to evade like a domino effect until the high from my orgasm evaporated and left me with a vibration of resentment.

“I’m not letting this go. You’ll come clean to me willingly or I’ll force you in one way or another.”

I’d told him he couldn’t distract me with sex, but he proved me wrong. Next time, I’ll be on my A-game, and he won’t be able to worm his way out of an uncomfortable conversation.

Max bounced off the bed, adjusting himself inside his pants, then held his hand out for me. I took his hand, and he pulled me to my feet with a slow motion.

All I wanted right now was to finish what we started, then go to sleep. My body screamed for a solid ten hours.

“I’ll talk about it when I’m ready and no sooner.”

I sighed and pushed my crazy hair out of my face. “The longer you keep it in, the more it will eat at you. Then, every time you look in the mirror, you won’t recognize yourself. There will be nothing left but your anger and bitterness. I hope you keep that in mind.”

He pressed his lips to mine, sharing my taste on his tongue. “Thanks for the concern.”

“I’m serious, Max.”

“So am I.” A smile flicked across his features and then left faster than I could log it to memory. He tugged me through the door and down the stairs.

My wet thighs and bare bits had me praying Luca and Nico were the only ones down there. My nipples pebbled against my shirt, brushing against the fabric, driving me further into a state of insanity.

I looked like fresh sex.

“Wait,” I said, tugging on his shirt before we made it any further to the office. “Didn’t that bother you?”

“What?”

“Luca watching.”

He shook his head. “No, why would it?”

I shrugged my shoulders and scratched my arm, even though it didn’t itch. “I don’t know. It’s different.”

“We like different things. I thought you figured that out already?”

We did have a different dynamic than anyone I’d ever met.

Never in my life did I imagine my heart being owned by three men at the same time. It’s strange how my life has forked off into a whole new world I didn’t even know existed.

“Let’s just say you guys keep surprising me.”

He tugged me the rest of the way into the office, with nothing but my oversized gray t-shirt that thankfully covered everything, then took a seat on the couch in his designated seat with me beside him.

My mind strayed back to the night they rejected me. I’ll never get that memory out of my head, no matter how many times I walk into this office.

“Whenever you say we need to talk, it’s like a woman saying it. You bring nothing but ominous expectations with those words.”

He smirked, surprising me with both fear and hope.

Nico hurried in and took his seat.

“Let’s discuss the matter involving John. Then I want you to go over everything that happened with Elias.”

We would’ve discussed it earlier when we came home, but I fell fast asleep after my shower, waiting for the Doc to arrive. Even though I’d slept away half the day, it still wasn’t enough to drive away the exhaustion.

I nodded. “Okay.”
