“Charity.”
His pace picked up as we walked towards the office. “Something greedy and…” I squealed as my back hit the wall and an uncontrollable laughter busted through my hard exterior.
“You just don’t know when to quit, do you?” he said, smirking.
“I’ve been told it’s a fault.” I chewed the inside of my lip as I watched his smile broaden.
“You’re something else, you know that?”
“So I’ve been told.”
“You look stunning, by the way,” he said as he let up his grip and allowed me to continue walking.
“Why thank you, kind sir,” I said with the most horrendous British accent.
“Lord, someone shoot me now,” he groaned.
I turned the corner laughing, then instantly shut my mouth as I noticed Luca at his desk, his phone to his ear.
He frowned as his gaze pinned me in place. “I want you to stay down in the yard until it’s delivered. I don’t care who you have to pay off, Gavino. Make sure it’s done right.”
Luca’s eyes slid down my body, pausing in certain places, all the way down to my toes, then made his way back up to meet mine.
Heat slapped my cheeks as he crooked a finger, silently telling me what he wanted. I sauntered towards him as he pushed his chair away from his desk and spun my direction, then held his hand out for me.
“Tell them you’ll double whatever it is they’re paying them.” I sat down in his lap as he pulled me towards him, his hard length jutting against my ass. “Fine, triple it. Gavino. Make it worth their while.”
He pulled the phone away from his ear, pressed the red button, then tossed it on the desk.
“What the hell are you wearing, my little vixen?”
“He said she neededto wear something revealing,” Nico said from his chair, holding his hands into the air.
“Revealing…” Luca said in a low, menacing tone. “A dress Nico. Not a napkin. She’s barely covered.”
“This was when we were going to the club.”
“And you think that’s better?”
“I like it. It’ll distract him just enough while I plan how I’m going to kill him.”
Luca returned his gaze to me at a neck-breaking speed. “Plan how you’re going to kill him?”
“Well, I can’t necessarily carry a weapon in this dress, can I?” I tilted my head to the side. “Well, I mean unless you consider these two items a weapon.” I smiled, holding both of my hands up. “I do. Just imagine what I can do to a man with my two bare hands,” I said with a sultry voice as I ran my hands over his chest, then nipped his earlobe.
Max cleared his throat and rubbed his finger over his mouth to hide the laughter he tried to strangle. “She’s being a bit extra today.”
Luca gripped the back of my neck and jerked me toward his body, holding me tight, then his lips brushed the shell of my ear. “If you ever touched another man other than us in that way, I’d tear him limb from limb and bury him under your house for you to remember me by.”
I pressed my lips together as arousal burned its way to my core. “Mm, Luca. I love it when you threaten violence.” I kissed his neck, then bit down hard, leaving behind my red lipstick.
Luca’s fingers dug into my neck as he pulled away from my hold. “Don’t test me on this one, Charity.” He spat out through clenched teeth. “You absolutely will not like the outcome.”
“Fine. I won’t… for now.” A shit-eating grin smothered my face as Luca’s hardness jerked in his pants. “It seems I’m not the only one turned on with the thoughts of murder.”
He cleared his throat and adjusted us in his seat, then looked at Nico. “When are you leaving?”
“As soon as you two love birds finish whatever it is you’re doing.”
