My shy earth dragon shook his head and adjusted his belt. “Jay’s theory is simple. She thinks she’s cursed and needs to mate with four dragons—one of each element—to break the curse.” He licked his lips, and the monster in his pants stirred despite his attempt to hide it. “Though how that’s possible with our mate marks defending her is the new question.”
I could have heard a pin drop in the silence.
The air around Tyson warmed. Waves of heat distorted his figure as he stalked toward me. His wings ripped through his new shirt. He straddled me on the oversized chair. “I won you in the most competitive hunt we’ve had in a hundred years.” He put one hand on either side of my shoulders, caging me in place.
My heart raced, and my core tingled from the danger, the raw life filling his eyes.
His wings draped around me, cutting us off from the other two dragons. “You broke my heart,” he said softer. “You can’t be my mate, yet I burn for you. Even knowing these two marked you.” He lowered his voice even further. “Even knowing we can’t have kids, I still fecking want you.”
He grazed his lips across mine, catching the bottom one between his teeth and biting hard. Pain cut through my lust, and I squeaked, jerking back. Rehan and Og each grabbed one of my ankles, ready to pull me out from under the fire dragon.
But they didn’t.
Tyson pressed further forward, covering my lips with his and prying my mouth open with his tongue. The tang of blood danced on my taste buds. He pillaged my mouth, and our teeth clashed. I should have felt violated, but just like in the clearing, my heart raced, and my body thrummed with life.
I craved the passion running through Tyson’s veins. I let myself drown in the sea of his lust. He released me to breathe, pulling back with a groan.
His hard length pressed against my thigh.
At the same time, both of us looked down at it. “Squeak?”
Tyson smirked. “So big. I know it was only one squeak, but that had to be it.”
I rolled my eyes, and Rehan growled, releasing my ankle, while Og sat and started massaging my foot. Not that I could see either of them through Tyson’s wing span.
“Interesting,” Ogden said. “That didn’t stay a mystery for long.”
I blinked a few times before raising an eyebrow. While Tyson kissed me, Og and Rehan touched me.
“If you don’t back off, Whale Bait, I’ll bite your hand off,” Tyson growled. “This is a sign. She chose me. I’ve won!”
For a brief moment, I debated keeping the oblivious dragon from kissing me to save him some pain. But we needed to test this discovery thoroughly. Tyson leaned down, dripping in the arrogance of his assumed victory. Batting my eyes, I puckered up. The fire prince caged me against the seat once more. Ogden let go of my foot, and Tyson pressed his lips to mine.
A zing of energy tingled between us. The fire dragon flew backward and landed hard on the floor, holding his family jewels. His wings vanished while sweat broke out on his brow. I wasn’t sure if he was cursing or moaning or both.
Og and Rehan both covered their balls and grimaced, looking away. Though I swore, Rehan smirked first.
I wrinkled my nose, not finding Tyson’s pain quite as funny as I thought I would. After watching him rock for a few seconds, I grabbed my pad and paper: ‘If all of you touch me at the same time, your mate marks cancel each other out.’
I eyed the three incredibly handsome and unique men giving me their undivided attention… well, Tyson still rocked on the floor. But he managed to look entirely too hot doing it. A wave of liquid lust washed through me. I pinched myself to stay focused. I wanted my magic back, and this seemed to be the way to get it.But it was more than that. I wanted these dragons. Tyson’s fever for life. Rehan’s loving arms. And Og’s damn dragon dick.
Superficial much?
I just met him three days ago. Give me a break.
“Squeak, Squeak?” I asked excitedly.
Tyson stopped rocking and groaned. “Yeah, I want to know what happened, too. Feck.”
Not what I asked, but clearing the air wasn’t a bad idea.
“How powerful are you?” Og asked.
I put my hands up in the air. Though I couldn’t prove it, I’d already answered that question. I was a fucking powerhouse.
Og tapped the side of his chin. “If you’re an immortal enchantress, which I believe, then someone must really hate you.”
Rehan growled. “I’m not following, explain.”
