“So now you’ve got the back information. How fast can you process things?”

He could see her doing it while she ate. She was listening more and thinking.

“Fast enough. What is it you would like to do? What was it you wanted out of telling me this?”

Oh yeah. Her doctor hat came on. He wouldn’t be offended either.

“I’d like to keep this quiet for the time being from Miles, Betsy and the Fierces. If you’ve got family or friends you trust to stay quiet, go ahead and tell them.”

“Meaning you want to let people know we are dating?” she asked.

He hadn’t thought much of it until she got flowers from another person.

“I can trust Royce if I told him. He’d think it was hilarious, as he and Chloe did the same thing. Maybe I’d like you to meet them.”

She smiled. “I’d like that. I don’t have a lot of friends. Especially female friends.”

He’d store that thought away for another time. “Then maybe we can work on that one night.”

“It’s a start,” she said. She finished her dinner and pushed her plate away from her. “And an end to these spontaneous dinners. I do enjoy them, but I’d like it better if we went to my place.”

He smiled. Not only wasn’t she mad at him for lecturing her over her actions tonight but she also wasn’t upset to find out she was part of a matchmaking setup.

She was a much better sport than he gave her credit for.

But he was learning there is more to Regan than he first imagined.

FUN AND INFORMATIVE

Regan pulled her vehicle into her garage and saw the lights of Zander’s SUV behind hers.

It was later than she’d thought the night would be and wasn’t sure why she was thinking that.

The night had been fun and informative at the same time.

She was still trying to figure out how she felt knowing that someone matched her up with Zander. And those people had a great track record.

Maybe it was a good thing since her track record wasn’t so great with men.

But then that was just another added pressure in her mind too.

She got out of her vehicle and hit the button to close the door once Zander was next to her.

For the past few weeks of their dating, they always came to her house. Not once had she seen his place. She didn’t even know where he lived.

She didn’t worry that he was keeping some secret from her. Or that he had another woman living with him.

Based on everything she found out tonight, there was no way that information could be private.

But she also knew him to be ethically and morally an upstanding citizen.

One that she was so attracted to that he made her do crazy things like get into the middle of his investigation without putting a ton of thought into it.

Everything she’d said was true. She wasn’t worried or scared. Could be the adrenaline was pushing her to get more involved.

Just like it was filling her veins and pulsing through her body when she was around him. Enough that the minute she took her jacket off, she turned and had Zander against the wall, her mouth on his, and was yanking his shirt out of the waist of his jeans.
