She did neither.
Instead, she threw her arms around my neck and kissed me.
Chapter seventeen
Amelia
Iprobably shouldn’t have thrown myself at Logan, and I almost definitely shouldn’t have kissed him. Not after sleeping with Ryan, and then what happened with Ethan at the party. It wasn’t fair to any of them, no matter what Ethan had said.
But my lips were on his and it felt amazing.
More than amazing. It feltright.
It was that thought that made me take a step back, horrified at my actions. “I am so sorry.”
Logan raised an eyebrow. “Okay, not exactly what a man wants to hear after a kiss.”
“I shouldn’t have kissed you,” I said. “I know you know about me and Ryan sleeping together, but Ethan and I fooled around too, and it’s not fair to you guys to keep doing this and—”
“Hey.” He grabbed my hand. “Take a breath, okay?”
I nodded, slowly inhaling and then exhaling. My pulse started to return to normal, but breathing wasn’t helping me with the guilt.
“I don’t think we should do this fake dating thing anymore,” I said. The thought of not spending time with the guys anymore hurt, but I couldn’t keep doing this to them.
One corner of Logan’s mouth twitched upward, surprising me. I supposed if he thought that was funny, I was right to end things.
“I am so glad you gave me that opening, because we’ve been trying to figure out how to tell you something.”
I pressed my lips together and crossed my arms, hoping I wouldn’t cry.
“We don’t want to fake date you,” he said. “We want you for real.”
I stared at him, my mouth opening and closing several times before I managed to ask him to repeat himself because I’d apparently hit my head or something.
He stood, closing the distance between us in a single step. Looking down at me, his eyes blazed with the kind of fire that burned a person from the inside out, and they thanked the stars while it did.
“We. Want. You.” He enunciated each word like that would make more sense.
“I don’t understand.”
He put his hand on my cheek, his thumb brushing back and forth across the corner of my mouth. “We were all thinking it, but Ethan’s the one who got us to say it out loud. We all want you, and we think you want all three of us too.”
And there it was, the thing I couldn’t do. I’d never be able to forgive myself if I got between them.
“We don’t want you to choose unless that’s what you want,” Logan continued. “We want to…well, we want to share you.”
“Share me?” I echoed.
“No choosing. No jealousy. No guilt.”
“You really think that’ll work?” I tried not to let my voice reveal how much I wanted that to be a real option.
“Ethan and I know that you had sex with Ryan,” Logan pointed out. “Was Ethan mad? I’m not mad. And then you went out with Ethan, and Ryan and I are fine.” He must’ve seen something that looked a lot like panic on my face because he added, “You don’t have to decide anything right now. We can just see where things go.”
It still sounded too good to be possible. Not having to choose between three sexy men who also happened to be my friends?
“But if you don’t want me, I’ll turn around and leave,” Logan said quietly. “No hard feelings. We’ll still be friends, and I won’t be mad at Ethan and Ryan either, if you just want to be with them.”
