I couldn’t help but be excited that Elija had a peg leg, and my filthy mind imagined it acting as a dildo. I mentally slapped myself, but it was too late. Elija’s eyes twinkled and he slapped Trevor on the shoulder.

“She wants me to fuck her with my peggoty. What a wonderful girl. I haven’t had that pleasure in a century.”

I clenched my thighs together and put my hands over my pussy. “Um, no! I mean, I don’t think that would work, wouldit?” I backed away from them, torn between running away and agreeing to this debauchery.

“Of course it would work, Audrey. Look at the carvings. They were done especially for this type of thing.” Elija put one hand on Trevor’s shoulder to balance himself and raised his peg leg so I could see the beautiful engraving on its tip. Sure enough, it was a gorgeous depiction of a human penis (circumcised), complete with veins traversing its length. I ran my fingers over it, admiring the bold texture that would, I was sure, be felt by my horny pussy.

“So let me get this straight. You both can shift from mermen, with tails, to human with legs, andyou can change your legs from one to two?” I was beginning to realize how much I didn’t know about this strange afterlife.

“Of course we can,” said Elija. “If you can dream it, it can happen. You are free to change shapes at will, also. But only if it’s mermaid to human. You can’t become a dolphin.”

I thought about Marcel and as though my mind had conjured him into being, I saw a great fin cutting through the water. The fin rose as a dolphin leapt from the ocean’s embrace, only to change in midair into my mer-mate. He strode up the beach towards us, shaking droplets of water from his glittering scales.

The two pirates looked grumpy. Trevor put his hands on his hips and scowled at Marcel. “We aren’t done yet. Elija hasn’t had a turn.”

“Sorry, boys,” Marcel said, his eyes on me. “We have to return to the palace. The Jellies have sounded an alarm, and the walls are going to shut in about ten minutes. We need to get back right now.”

Trevor and Elija perked up immediately. “Is there going to be a battle? Who is it this time?” Elija asked. “Not the Kraken again, surely?”

“No. This time, it’s Neptune’s gang. Our scouts have seen them arming themselves and talking about invading us. Apparently, they think we didn’t play fair in the last election.”

“What?” Trevor was incredulous. “That’s just an excuse. They want to rule the whole ocean. Or maybe,” he looked thoughtful, then grinned. “Maybe they just want a bit of fun. Okay,” he said, turning to me, “I’m sorry we have to cut this short, Audrey.”

“Not as sorry as I am,” growled Elija. “I didn’t get to show you how my peggoty works. Maybe we’ll get a chance later, after the invasion is suppressed.”

I gave them each a hug and a kiss, and they beamed their pleasure at the gesture.

Marcel took hold of my hand and tugged me towards the water. “Come on baby. We need to hurry.”

I wondered where the door that Trevor and I had passed through to the beach was. There were rules to the hereafter that I still didn’t understand, but thankfully, it was easy to do as I was told.

Marcel and I ran into the gentle waves, and as soon as the water got deep enough, I felt my tail take form. We swam after that, knifing through the clear water until I saw the wavy lines of the jelly wall ahead. Marcel waved his hands over his head, and the wall parted. I looked up and saw the bulbous bodies of the jellyfish, stacked up to cover the whole area around the palace of Mer-king Marius and undulating in the current.

“Are they poisonous?” I wondered.

“Very,” said Marcel.

Back at the palace, there was a lot of movement as the merfolk took to their battle stations, many of them armed with tridents and nets. They didn’t seem especially worried, and I asked Trevor about what might happen.

“Don’t worry. Neptune’s gang are a rough and rowdy lot, but they have no discipline. The jellies will probably be enough to turn them back, but everyone is looking forward to a bit of a dust-up, so it should be interesting.”

“But could one of our people get... killed?” I asked.

Marcel grinned at me. “You’re forgetting we’re all immortal! Now, we might get wounded, but the wounds would heal almost immediately.”

“So why are the Neptunes attacking us?”

“They’re probably bored. There will be lots of shouting and smacking, and maybe some stabbing, then we’ll have a party and invite the Neptunes to join us. Incidentally, they’ll all want to fuck you, as you’re a newbie.”

I wasn’t sure about that. “Do I have to? Fuck them, I mean?”

Marcel stopped and looked at me. “Of course not, Audrey. You always have a choice. But... I think you might be tempted. Several of the Neptune boys are truly gorgeous.”

Marcel was right, as usual. The Neptune boys were repelled by the jelly wall until one of the jellies went for a coffee break, and the marauders slipped through the crack in the barricade. They looked like sort of clean Vikings, blonde and very muscle-bound, with shields made of some golden metal and swords made of something silvery.
