Tobias pouted but didn’t bother saying anything else. Instead, he ran towards the ring and sat on the edge.

“Why do they want her to train them? You’re the best fighter out of us all, and I mean I’m not far behind you. I could have taught her this whole time, but the moment we arrive here she says fuck it all?” Dimitri complained.

I never had a chance to say anything before Dimitri stood up and began walking forward. “Salem!” he barked.

She stopped showing Mila whatever move was next and stood straight up.

“Spar with me.” It wasn’t a question. My whole body tensed.

“Okay.”

Okay? OKAY?

Everything in me screamed at her to say no. I knew she had to be a decent fighter, but Dimitri was almost as big as me. We both were 6’5” and well over two hundred pounds. Salem was a tiny person, and Dimitri would not hold back for her. He would push her buttons, and I knew if Dimitri tried to actually hurt her, I would step in. Which I truly didn’t want to do.

Dimitri stripped out of his sweatshirt and shoes, leaving him in joggers and a shirt. Mila stepped out and came to sit next to me, holding onto Tobias.

“I got bets on Dimitri,” Killian hollered out.

Dimitri smirked back at us, while Salem glared.

“Salem, kick his ass!” Mila laughed, causing Dimitri to cock his head to the side, raising his eyebrows at her. “Love you, babe!” she said, sending him a kiss.

“And you, Zane?” Salem threw her hand up at me.

Looking between the two I didn’t know who to pick. Salem was strong, but Dimitri had size on his side. I knew who I wanted to win this sparring match.

“Dimitri,” I lied. It would get under her skin, and I just hoped she would fight better.

Both of them turned towards each other and took their position. I wasn’t so sure this was just a training session. This looked more like they were ready to fight each other.

“Do you think we should stop this?” Mila asked.

“I wouldn’t. Dimitri has been looking for a fight and Salem can probably hold her own.” Killian shrugged.

My own nerves were racking against my body, clawing at my skin. I wanted to jump inside that ring and fight against Dimitri for her. I hated that this was his way of making sure she was part of us. It was a stupid test; one I didn’t want her to go through. My word about her should have been enough, but I knew Dimitri wouldn’t let that happen.

I watched in slow motion as Dimitri threw the first punch in her stomach knocking Salem back. What I least expected was a smile spreading across her face. He went to kick towards her, and it looked promising until the last moment. Salem dodged it, grabbing hold of his calf and giving it a good yank. Dimitri went down. He recovered fast, throwing his elbow back into her chest. Salem fell back onto her back, giving Dimitri enough time to straddle her. Unfortunately, the look on Salem’s face said everything as she bucked him off fast and hard. Getting to her feet she threw her head back and laughed.

“Are you holding back or are you just weak?” she taunted him. Usually, something like that wouldn’t work, but this time it did. Dimitri charged towards her. Salem jumped and wrapped her legs around his neck before punching the back of his neck. They both fell. Dimitri landed on his front while Salem rolled and kick-flipped to her feet.

Watching her was like magic. I don’t know how she moved. But everything she did was something out of a movie. Dimitri never got the chance to get his hands on her. She dodged every grab and threw him onto the ground before either kicking him or punching him.

“Come on, Dimitri, thought you were the big power Pakhan of Russia.” She laughed, urging him on. “Thought you wanted to spar, not fight me. If you wanted to get your ass kicked all you had to do was ask,Pakhan.”

Dimitri growled, rushing towards her. At the last moment, Salem swept her legs out, sweeping him to the floor.

My cock tented in my sweatpants, and I had to lean forward to hide my erection. It was hot watching her move around, fighting as if it was first nature to her.

“Alright, the next person to hold the other down for five seconds wins,” Dimitri panted, getting to his feet.

“Sure.” She looked as though she was barely breaking a sweat.

“Kick his ass, Salem!” Killian shouted, laughing to himself.

The words barely left his mouth before Dimitri grabbed the back of her ankles, throwing her back. It again appeared like Dimitri might actually win until she wrapped her legs around his neck again.

Choking him.
