Silence.
Silence.
“Wait.” Dimitri looked over at us, before his body tensed. “Are you telling me she was the one who tore all those men apart?” He was finally understanding everything. Salem was behind everything.
I nodded my head.
“She was the one who tore Matteo apart, literally. We found his body missing. Luca’s men, those murders were brutal. You’re telling me, Salem, that girl is the one who murdered all those men?”
Again I nodded my head at Dimitri.
“He was convinced it was some guy…” Dimitri trailed off. Finally coming to the understanding of everything. He looked over at Zane, I don’t know why. “Zane?”
“Who is she?” Zane asked.
“Ghost,” Mila answered for everyone.
“Bullshit, Ghost isn’t real,” he snapped.
“Who broke your nose four years ago, Zane?” I was losing all patience with him.
Again there was silence. Zane stared at me like I was a bug underneath him. Dimitri was smirking because he knew, and Mila was trying hard to hide her smile.
“No,” Zane finally answered.
“Oh, yeah, big boy. She knocked you out easily. Took a baseball bat to your nose. Broke your poor little nose. Even went through your wallet.” I tapped my chin. “What was your full name again? Zane Theodore Rivera. Damn must suck to get taken down by a five-foot-four girl.” I cocked my head to the side, waiting for him to say something nasty towards me. Instead Zane watched me for a solid minute before stalking out of the living room. Leaning further into Killian I laid my head against his chest. I didn’t know what I expected when I told them the truth. But Zane acting like Salem was still the enemy was not one of them. It shouldn’t have bothered me as much, but I felt extremely protective of her. She saved my life in more than one way. I just needed Zane to understand her reasoning behind hiding who she was. Why we were both hiding.
I hadn’t realized I’d fallen asleep until I felt the move underneath me. Jerking awake I gasped, feeling like I couldn’t catch my breath.
“Shh, it’s okay, moya printsessa.” I would’ve known that voice anywhere.
Glancing over my shoulder I noticed the sun was beginning to shine in through the window.
“You fell asleep,” he murmured. “They went to bed, and Zane still hasn’t come home.” He sighed, kissing my temple.
“You’re still here,” I found myself saying.
“You won’t find me anywhere else, little dove.” I wish I could believe him, but I couldn’t let my heart be opened to him again. Just not yet anyway. Sometimes I felt overdramatic for pushing him away. I wasn’t dramatic. I just couldn’t let another man control me. And that’s all Killian wanted; he wanted the control over me.
“Hey guys, have you seen Tobias?” Mila asked, startling me. Shooting up, Killian grunted as I pressed my ass into his dick.
“I just woke up,” I said looking over at Killian over my shoulder.
“He hasn’t come down that I’ve seen.”
“Fuck!” Dimitri yelled from somewhere in the house. Killian stood quickly, almost knocking me to the ground. Shooting him my best glare he only smirked at me before turning his full attention back to Dimitri.
“The Cartel has him,” he growled out. “They have my fucking son.”

Mine was not telling them who I was.
I should have told them. That way they could just hate me from the start. Instead I lived in a little fantasy world where I thought Zane could care for me.
