Killian stepped over the two bodies before grabbing Tobias and carried him out. I couldn’t look away from Salem. My white shirt she wore was covered in blood, and from the looks of it, brain as well. It was ripped vertically down the middle, and her hair was wet and covered with blood. Looking around her body, she was covered in blood. She looked like Carrie, when they poured pig's blood over her body. I didn't even know what I was feeling at this moment until I saw her begin to sway on her feet. Looking closer I took in the large blood stain on her side.
“You were stabbed,” I growled. Stepping closer I tried my best to keep my anger from showing. I was angry about everything at the moment.
Dimitri not answering his phone, Killian taking me around town showing me different properties he wanted to buy, and now Salem. I was angry with her for thinking she could just take down so many different men without help. Not once did she contact either of us. It was Tobias who did.
Shaking my head, I stepped closer to her. “Let me look.”
“I’m okay.” Her voice shook, which told me everything I needed to know. She was far from okay.
“Just shut up and let me look,” I snapped. Lifting her shirt without waiting for her permission I took in the two stab wounds on her side. Along with bruising that was already turning a dark shade of purple.
“You need to be stitched up.”
“I told you I’m fine.” She smacked my hand away from her. Taking several steps back she pressed down on her side, hissing the moment she made contact. “Fuck,” she whispered. Before I could even blink, she swayed further on her legs before they finally buckled, and she went down.

“Tell me again what thefuck happened?”Dimitri growled at us. Killian stood leaning against the doorway. Mila was cuddling Tobias who was passed out on the loveseat, while Dimitri and I stood facing each other in the middle of the waiting area.
“I’ve gone over this a dozen times, Dimitri.”
The moment Salem passed out, we rushed her to the hospital, where they were still operating on her. The blond girl from before showed up cussing at all of us while focusing her attention on Killian, glaring more than I had ever seen a person glare before.
After they took her back, Dimitri and Mila showed up. They had apparently been run off the road and Mila had a gash above her eyebrow. The moment he saw Killian carrying Tobias he had demanded we tell him everything. As if we hadn’t planned on telling him.
“Tell. Me. Again.” One thing about Dimitri is he hates having to ask for things twice. I just didn’t see the reason for having to tell him for what seemed to be the millionth time.
Rolling my eyes, I turned and sat on the chair behind me. “I don’t know what happened before we got the call. Tobias called screaming and then the call cut out. We tried calling you guys, but it went straight to voicemail. We were only about ten minutes away, if that. I brought the security cameras up, the ones I placed when we first arrived. From there we saw her take down three men downstairs before we all heard Tobias scream.” I couldn’t help but glance over at him. I never wanted to hear him scream like that again. Something inside me snapped when I heard it.
“She ran up the stairs and took out one of them before we arrived. When we got into the house and upstairs, she was in the process of the second one. The third stabbed her, and I shot him.”
Dimitri looked over at Mila and Tobias as if they would disappear from sight if he looked away long enough. I hated that. Ever since Tobias had been born, it was like a new Dimitri had also been born. He was scared about everything, worried his enemies would find them. This had been the first attack since he'd been here, and it was while none of us had been around.
Just Salem.
A stranger to us all. Someone we can’t find any information about. Someone who won’t tell us anything about herself. Someone we don’t even know. It was like it all fell into place now. I understood why Dimitri wasn’t sure about her. I had just been blind to it all. Who the fuck was Salem? Was that even her real name? Sure I found a photo of what appeared to be her family, but how could we be sure she hadn’t done something to them?
We were all killers, and she proved that with killing five men in her house just a few hours ago.
The sound of the door opening broke me from my thoughts. Turning around, a small man in scrubs walked in. “Salem Gray family?”
“That’s us,” Dimitri answered. I knew better than to tell him we weren’t exactly her family.
“Is Aziza here?” he asked.
“She went to get something to drink.” Killian finally spoke for the first time since we arrived here. “Here she is,” he said, just as she walked in.
“Is she okay?” Aziza whispered.
“She’s resting right now. We had to repair the damage done to her kidney, along with some bleeding she had. We stitched up the two stab wounds, but she has some bad bruising.” The doctor said everything to Aziza, not once looking at any of us.
“When can I see her?” she asked, holding her cup of coffee tightly.
He finally glanced around at us before returning his gaze to Aziza. “You can stay with her tonight. But the rest can wait until visiting hours tomorrow morning.”
She nodded her head.
“Let me know if you need anything, Aziza.” The doctor smiled before turning towards the door and leaving.
