“Really?” I beam at her, and then I frown. “Wait. Which question are you saying yes to?”
“To staying married to you, silly.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah! I loved our wedding day, and I meant everything I said too.”
I put the ring on her finger and kiss her hand. “I think that’s when I fell in love with you.”
Her breath catches as she looks down at the ring again.
I climb to my feet to take her face in my hands. “I love you so damn much, Zara Koslov, and I want nothing more than to be your husband for real this time.”
“I love you Dimitri Koslov,” she whispers. “Thank you for being mine.”
“Forever,” I whisper back before kissing her deeply.
EPILOGUE
ZARA
Seven months later
“They’re finally asleep.” I sigh, collapsing onto the couch.
“For now.” Dimitri chuckles, and I shoot him a glare.
He’s busy in the kitchen, washing bottles, and the sight makes my heart swell. He’s taken to fatherhood so well. Granted we’ve only been home for forty-eight hours, but he hasn’t complained once.
I, on the other hand, am exhausted and have been a blubbering mess, but I have a good excuse seeing as I just pushed two babies out of my body a little over a week ago. If I’ve not been crying from a lack of sleep, it’s from happiness at the sight of the twins snuggled up together in the bassinet beside me.
My heart is fit to bursting.
“Are you sure you’re ready for visitors?” He comes over to sit beside me.
He lifts his arm, and I snuggle into his side, letting my eyes flutter closed for a moment.
“I don’t think we have a choice. Biancahas been blowing up my phone all day asking for photos, and so has my sister.”
“Zara, it’s okay if you want some more time just the four of us.”
The four of us.
There was a time where I thought that would never happen.
As if he can sense the thought, Dimitri tightens his arm around me and presses a kiss to my forehead.
“We’re all safe,sladkaya.”
I nod, swallowing the lump in my throat.
“I want Sasha and Benedikt to meet everyone.”
I know Dimitri is desperate to introduce his brothers to the newest additions to the Koslov family. We were planning on having everyone come to the hospital, but the labor progressed so quickly that by the time Dimitri got me there, I was ready to push.
I barely had a chance to get my head around the fact that the babies were coming before I was holding them in my arms for a second before they were off to the incubator for a few days.
Dimitri, sensing how overwhelmed I was, decided to invite our family over to the penthouse only once I had been discharged to meet the twins, giving me more time to focus on my babies and us a little more time to adjust to life as a family of four.
