“How?” I ask.
“Uh. Because we may or may not intentionally scare off basically everyone you see,” Lance says cautiously.
“Why?” I snap.
“Because you deserve far better than fuckers like Alex,” Lance says. “He’s a fucking sleaze bag who would’ve fucked you then never talked to you again. He would’ve broken your heart, just like all the others.”
“That one guy… Adam, I think… He actually had syphilis,” Dean says. “We found out from a girl that Lance was seeing. She saw you talking with him and told us that she was clean now, but she caught something from him and warned us to get him away from you. So we did. The next girl he slept with ended up with syphilis.”
“Why didn’t you three idiots say anything to me?” I ask with a frown.
“Because you are a spiteful little girl who would’ve done it just to do it,” Lance says and I laugh through my still-falling tears.
“I’m just tired of being alone,” I whisper.
“You have us,” Mason says.
“That’s not what I mean,” I say. “I know I have you guys but that doesn’t stop me from feeling lonely. You all will find girls you love and I’ll get pushed to the back burner. Plus, it’s not your job to make me feel wanted.”
“Okay. Let’s back up here,” Dean suggests. “Let’s just go find a movie and relax for the evening.”
“Can there be alcohol involved?” I ask.
“No. Drunk and sad Sadie gets naked and is hard to contain,” Mason laughs.
“I do not,” I gasp.
“Yeah. Yeah, you do,” he says. “That’s how we learned that you have a tattoo.”
“What possessed you to get a tattoo on your ass anyhow?” Dean asks. My mouth falls open and they all laugh.
“I don’t know what to say,” I admit. “When was this?”
“College after a party. It was just us if that helps any,” Dean says with a smirk.
“Well… I looked better in college so that’s not too bad I guess,” I shrug. Mason tickles my side as I squeal and try to pull away. “Stop. I don’t have clothes on, man.”
“Nothing we haven’t seen before, love,” Mason grins.
“You are insufferable,” I joke. “Let me get dressed and I’ll come out and watch a movie with you guys.”
“Okay. And Sadie…” Lance says. “Alex is wrong and so are you. You are not alone. I know it might feel like you are, but you’re not. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with you.”
“Mhmm,” I say. “Easy for you to say when you have regular sex.”
“We could help change that for you, Little Demon,” he says with a sly grin.
“I mean… I don’t think Todd would mind,” I say with a sweet smile.
“Baby, all six of those men would fuck you if they weren’t afraid of us killing them,” Mason laughs.
“Am I a virgin because you three are overprotective?” I ask.
“Uh. Yeah, I think so,” Dean admits with a proud grin.
“I want to be mad, but anybody I would’ve had sex with was a loser and I definitely would not have had a future with them,” I say.
“So that explains all the noise you make in here by yourself,” Lance says seriously.
