I grip the edge of the table on either side of her body. “I’m so glad you agree. Let’s get out of here and back to my place.”

“No, you want this. Do it right here. Right now.” Her hands grip my shirt in her fists.

I’m taken aback at her boldness, looking in her green eyes that are shining up at me, she doesn’t falter. She’s dead serious.

“You want me to fuck you right here?” I ask cautiously.

“Right here,” she smirks. “Unless you can’t handle me.”

“Oh, I can handle you, Princess.” I press against her completely so she can feel that I’m already hard for her.

“Mm, you sure about that?” She arches into me.

I lean down, running my lips along the side of her neck while she pulls me tighter against her by my shirt. When my lips graze her jaw, she whispers my name. I can’t wait to hear her scream it.

“Yeah, Princess?” My lips are barely an inch above hers, breathing the same air.

“No matter what you say, or what you do. You will never, ever get to touch me.” I’m pushed back from her grip on my chest, stumbling at the force, meeting her devilish gaze.

I chuckle. “You got me good, Baby Collee, but you’re wrong, because I’m still not going to give up. You want me, you just don’t want to admit it.”

Audrey and Mann return with drinks in their hands, both staring daggers at me.

“If I change my mind, which I won’t, you’ll be the last person to know.” Brynn smirks.

I shake my head, walking backward toward the table with my old teammates. “Challenge accepted.”

I turn around so I can’t see whatever remark was on the tip of her tongue.

As I get back to the table the guys are already giving me shit.

“That went well.”

“Strike out for Wheeler.”

“I’m playing the long game, guys. She’s the captain’s sister and he fucking hates me. What better way to get back at him.” I down the rest of my drink.

“You’re fucked up, Wheeler. Sounds like a great plan.” Thompson chuckles.

While the other guy’s joke at my expense, I can’t help but notice how Richardson is looking at me. He doesn’t say anything, but something about his smug little face makes me think he sure as shit is thinking something. And something tells me I don’t want to know what that could be.

Isay goodnight to Audrey and Charlie not long after the run in with Colton. I’m tired and didn’t want to run the risk of him trying to shoot his shot again. Turning him down is annoying and I know that’s probably his goal, to just wear me down, but it won’t work.

“You’re my new going out buddy since Chandler had to go get knocked up,” Audrey jokes as we are parting.

“As long as you don’t ditch me by doing the same.” I wave as my ride-share pulls up.

“Not a problem here. No babies will be had, we just enjoy practicing making them.”

I choke out a laugh. She’s not shy about anything in regard to sex, being a cam girl. Charlie just shakes his head, accepting his girlfriend announcing that, loudly, on the streets of downtown Denver.

I climb into the car and right before he pulls away from thecurb the back door opposite to the one I got in swings open. I gasp loudly, terrified some random person is going to reach in and snatch me or something while I try to crowd myself against the other door.

The fear turns into annoyance instantly when I meet the blazing blue eyes of my nemesis.

“What are you doing?” I snap.
